You can cut a small hole in the bubble wrap window covers (2”/5cm) to allow you to see out, and then stick a small flap of extra bubble wrap over it with some tape as a hinge - this way you can still see out when needed. It’s just as black-out with the flap in place, but with the lights off it’s not obvious if you lift the flap to look out. Great video as always.
Another enjoyable vid. Nice nod to Project Amber. Got into his channel during the lockdowns. His adventures at Ambolease and in Portugal were awesome especially as we couldn’t go camping. These wild camps are great. Looking forward to the next one 🤟
Could see roseberry topping in the background around the 19:54 minute mark fantastic walks around that area of the cleveland walk and just down the road from where i live
Great video, when are the Jovial boys back together?? 😁 how about you put the what three words up for your location when you park up etc?? cheers for the videos 🙌🏼
Love the Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner! I'm from Preston and live in Perth WA and dinner is at lunchtime! Wish it was cold here! At least you can get warm with more layers but camping (last week) it was 44C!
that was a bit of an epic. adventure look great. one tip we found was filling a Thermos with hot water the night before then you have hot water for the first coffee or you can quickly reboil it in the morning cuts down on condensation happy trails
Great video; we did the Cleveland Way in 2019, it's a walker's paradise and as you mentioned, so varied; every day brings new views and experiences for the senses.
Enjoy watching you exploits kid ,unfortunately never gonna be in the position to buy a van but watching you is just as good thanks .on the up side I'm watching this video whilst in 24 degrees of sunshine in lanzarote, keep up the good work and looking forward to your next post cheers kid 👍
Have been watching for some time now, really enjoy your videos, this one being no exception. So much good information and entertaining. Keep doing what you’re doing!
So what I took from this one - Yorkshire Poptop Adventures attends premier dogging hotspot on the Cleveland way while shaking baps on a towel in the van. 🤔 Lovely walk and views.
The bubble wrap looks a top idea over the back windows, was it black? I couldn’t tell if it had a colour to it, youngster watching with me in reverse commentary - what’s he doing now dad?? 🤫🙄😆 I haven’t done a yomp like that for some time now, if I can just get the family out and get them exercising more I’ll feel like we’ve achieved something - especially to come back to the van for a cuppa and a comfy sit.
Nothing better on a freezing night than settling down all snug in the van 😁. Didn't expect the epic walk to be quite so epic, neither did you by the sound of it. Great tip re. the clothes in the sleeping bag will do that 👍
By heck lad that woz a banging video. We loved watching this Colin, lots of adventures with no swearing well on camera!! Hahaha any chance you could produce a bloopers video I’m sure we would all like to watch it just to show that we all make mistakes and can laugh at them. Take care and keep up the good work!
I too used to sneeze a lot in the morning some times so much so it would make me ache. Turns out after all these years, I have various allergies.... and my right nosrtil shows signs of diversion due to it. Now on a nasal spray and antihistamines. No more morning sneezes. Worth getting checked out by an ENT specialist.
You might want to look into getting some wireless cameras for the vehicle to see your surroundings while in stealth mode.. I/E, with the bubble wrap in the windows. Most simple ones have 2 cams with IR LEDs for nigh time aid but overall lux is pretty good. Maybe you can find a 4 cam one.
Try Shaw’s devilish tomato and chilli Burger relish (Morrisons). Shaws are from Huddersfield so you are keeping it local(ish) and it’s not hot, despite the chilli.

Maybe you could look into installing wireless wifi or Bluetooth linked cameras around inside of your van windows that you could stream you your iPad and that way you can see who’s outside while staying stealthy, as well as be recording while your away from the van, walking etc?

Another awesome video mate and that walk looked epic and super windy 😎 would it be possible to include the grid references of the walk in the future, just a thought. Cheers mate 👊
Yes matey no problems at all! Some park ups I'll keep everyone guessing as they may be Dodgy re the locals but future ones that aren't I'll let everyone know :)
I think you said Breakfast, Dinner and Tea wrong? 😂 Nice to see you in local familliar surroundings. Cringle Moor, Cod Beck and Wainstones are regular walks for us. Cracking video as always buddy, keep up the great work your doing 😊

Hi great video we are going looking at a vw tomorrow. Its registered as a panel van but fully converted. What do we need to tell the insurance. Any answers would be great 😁
With insurance you'll probably struggle with a "standard" insurer. I highly recommend A-Plan as they will know exactly how to insure it as it currently is and for its current market value :)
Great vid. We’ve found leaving the diesel heater on thermostat mode and at a low temperature just tops things up if they drop too low. Have you tried that?
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures I did it this weekend on Dartmoor at about the same temperatures and it works a treat. I hope it’s more efficient too. Having said that, the diesel heaters are pretty cost effective I’ve found. If you ever fancy a trip to the SW, drop me a line, be great to exchange wild camping notes.
Sadly not as I didn't take my good camera :( gutted I didn't have it with me but I try not to have expensive stuff with me if I'm leaving the van for ages!
Mint vid! Out of interest why don’t you keep your diesel heater on at night? And when you’re sitting in your van with the engine on , why not pop the diesel heater on instead? No criticism, just wondering as I always sleep with mine on all night , and it turns on and off with the thermostat during the night. Cracking walk, looking forward to the next vid. ✌️✌️🏁🏁
Hiya , no offence taken whatsoever! I turn it off because once I'm wrapped up and warm I'm good (also the Yorkshire man in me doesn't want to waste fuel while I'm sleeping 😂) Great idea turning the heater on before the van gets cold though, I'll try that next time! Ah the walk was stunning, I'll definitely be back for more adventures in that area
