And they own a modern mansion that's crazy expensive and they also have children but there's a riff in the family and the children start hanging more and more and the family makes peace
River looks like a sweet old man :') loving the idea that while he's not close with his own kids, he started bonding with Anna over plants and paintings and that's why she made sure the kids are super close with grandpa :')
As you get into the crazy expensive builds, I feel like it’d be valuable (get it?) to let you know that some super old fancy homes have basement archives where the most expensive books/furniture/paintings are kept on shelves and stuff to protect them from the elements, so that’d be a great way to burn through some money!
I always love the videos, especially in this series. But I think that some things that might keep u from having to worry about the $ are: 1.having a full laundry room with expensive cabinets and it's own island. 2. Large kitchens with double ovens and microwaves (maybe making a cabinet that holds the microwave above the counter) 3. Of course going in on a separate dining room with double tables and expensive cabinetry 4. Furniture in the larger bathrooms Idk... Stuff that I know u know but maybe u aren't thinking about yet??? 🤷🏾♀️
THIS is my favorite build series you ever made. I LOVE IT and honestly I’m getting really attached to the characters and their stories! Maybe you could someday continue with it in other worlds with characters who all are somehow connected to each other (like someone who works for the greenhouse cafe or friends/ partners of the kids)

I was a little bit unsure about the placement of the basement stairs at first, but after seeing it cluttered, I could see that it's pretty cute 🙈✨ I would love to see you do bigger bathrooms -stylized them to look more stylish
Looking at this build, and it being an older family home, it reminds me of my family's house from like 2006. Doesn't it kinda have that like early 2000s vibe? I love that vibe.
Maybe the basement wasn't touched in a long time because they were too bust running the cafè and river Lost his passion for music but when Theo's mother passed, river regained his passion for music so the basement was cleaned only recently

Watching you roof has seriously helped me sooo much when Im building, that green roof is so gorgeous! and you're working with rounded decks! those can be so annoying but you make it look so fun
i always wish you do more spa day stuff or add the hamsters like u can do alot of different rooms like a big games room like all the kids games a basketball court even there are those garage doors that they can paint on which is cool there are so many options for spending money you always kinda use the same stuff for each house u could do dance floor room an aquarium wall or water fall wall feature
I feel like Theo's mum could be an actress (so that's why their house is so fancy) but she was actually really lovely, sweet and warm. She met her future husband River in theater (he plays on violin, she was an actress there) And their daughter always wanted to become a famous actress like her mother, but maybe she cares about fame more than doing it as a hobby so that's why she's no longer living with her family (she moved to bigger city to develop her career)

After a while her business became really successful and she became a millionaire and built her own house in vineyard heights! just an idea

You can 100% tell this man has a private chef, maid & personal shopper but isn’t cocky with his money. He’s very down to earth, he donates to charity & spoils his grandchildren. But he didn’t just hand over his legacy to his son instead taught him the craft, keeping him down to earth.

I think if you want to hang plants in a place with a glass roof you can use spandrels or fences to create beams and hang them from those. I haven't tried it but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I would of loved if they were family friends as kids, but Theo’s sister was always rude to her so she lost contact with Theo. And Theo’s sister moved away after their mum died because they were super close. But Theo got along well with both his parents. He wanted to do something different than a normal cafe but chose to take over to make his parents proud
For next time, basement stairs some where else, like its a secrets to get to it. And maybe in willows house the basement has windows into the pool, that screams rich people. Also those green mother board looking computers totally dont fit the vibe of the place, I get they are the most expensive one but they just stick out and I dont think river would have that in his house.

My take: River and his wife were very active people, working hard to make their dreams a reality and trying to make a fortune to be able to afford the best for their children - unfortunately that meant they were busy most of the time and had little time to bond with Theo, who didn't care all that much about money. Maybe his sister is closer in character to their parents, having high ambitions and therefore moved elsewhere to make her own dream reality. River, being retired and recently widowed, suddenly has a lot of time on his hands but noone close - then he bonds with his grandchildren, who come over more often since Theo and his wife are expanding business and have to work a lot. And through being close to his grandkids he finally grows closer to Theo as well, both of them now learning to see the other perspective (Theo now having his own ambitions and a busy life whereas River learns how valuable time with loved ones is). P.S.: Sorry for the word-vomit...

What i've learned: 10k tubs and 5k toilets are clutch, as are the giant TVs. I don't think I've ever built anything past 200k so this is insane to me

The Greenhouse looks so nice, it to me looks like a combination of a greenhouse and a sun room.

you should start adding dishwashers!! especially bc they don’t take up counter space but cost a bit too
