    If its cast iron put it in your oven on highest temp that will burn off or if you have a self cleaning oven that will work too. Then wash off good after cool and rub it with bacon grease

    I got nervous watching you hack through the rust with a screwdriver. There are subtler methods for this. A nice piece of history found.

    After cleaning in an oven (as suggested belong), perhaps the holes can be filled with JB weld (before greasing or oiling). This is if you want to do more.

    I would suggest using an electric or battery powered drill, and a 'Rotary Wire Wheel & Cup Brush' set. It would help in cleaning rust off without damaging metal underneath. It worked really well for me on some rusted tools I found in the yard and on several carriage bolts/nuts on wheel barrows I've put back into use. Other than that, good video.

  • @ccm290
    @ccm290 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Very cool, I would scrub out the inside lightly with a stiff bristle brush (get all the large bits out) then move to a fine one. You can use Brass but not a steel brush ( it will damage the metal).

    0:58 57.2mm metal filled (heavier) balls are used for coin operated tables with a magnet system separating the white (metal) ball. Smaller diameter balls or larger diameter balls are used for coin operated tables that separate the ball by diameter.

    The pool ball’s magnetic cause that’s just the q ball and how it pulls it to side drop in a different drop point instead of going back into table or that’s how normally works on pool balls for a bar room or arcade outside that basic home tables most time doesn’t have the magnetism cause it’s not needed awesome channel and enjoy the videos

    Use a small brass hammer to remove the surface oxidation, it won’t hurt the base metal at all as it’s breaking away the thick oxidation scale build up, the screw driver or any other sharp/pointed tool will heavily scratch the surface, making it ugly GOOD LUCK AND WE LOVE YOUR VIDEOS 👍🏻
