Ahhhhhhhh, the golden days of 3-5 hours of glorious deck building... Truly, truly hope you'll be making boards for Scarlet Keys and Hemlock Vale, and also play the two latest campaigns in stream.
Zach, don’t listen to Stephen; Survival Knife does work, especially when you pair it with Guard Dog. I think your Zoey needs a couple more weapons, though. That Dunwich mill can be rough. If you’re not playing with the Taboo List, Machete fits nicely with your Blades of Righteousness theme. Also, you asked for suggestions for a testless damage deck and nobody mentioned Small Favor? Zoey can include it as part of her five out-of-class cards, and she can afford it with all the extra resources from engaging enemies. Theme-wise, it’s a win too as Zoey pays her God Squad buddies to go fight monsters. It’s worth a look as you consider deck tweaks. And Stephen should consider including a solution to deal with Norman’s Hound weakness, like upgraded Storm of Spirits, or Spectral Razor. Something that will do 3 damage and clear it in a single action. Thanks for the streams! I never get to catch them live, but I enjoy them here on TH-cam regularly. For a direct-damage Zoe deck, Easy Mark seems like a good consideration. The other similar rogue cards might be decent options for evasion or clues, if you've got enough damage.
I think star gazing a must for Norman. Carcosa my favorite but Dunwich I've played through the most. Carcosa just drain you. But Dunwich is more like an action adventure movie.
I got as far as you guys did. Needed to investigate twice to succed. Got an automatic fail on my first investigation check, took 2 attacks of oppuritunty. Fun times.
I recently played a combat focused Joe Diamond seeker, and then a location-securing Minh Thi Phan in 2 player games. And a evade-to-murder Wendy Adams for true solo (yes evading in true solo and it worked pretty well!), and now a true solo Akachi Onyele who leans on replacing spells often and knowing what tokens are drawn to get cool effects and get her spells back/more resources. I love how different you can build in these card games. I also had a Roland Banks built completely around finding clues without investigate actions but his low sanity+low willpower always gets me to resign so it wasn't as successful.

Anyone think I could just send the PDFs to a book printer and have them make one or would that catch the eye of the copyright guardians?
Your second scenario "mulligan" house rule ... I have to admit, I have thought of doing something similar. You should give yourself some sort of penalty and/or limit if you do it. Cause otherwise you can tailor too much based on your outcomes of the previous scenario and your random weakness.
Did someone discuss the Stick to the Plan/Astounding Revelation interaction in the chat for you? Since you search your deck at the beginning of every scenario you, you get two extra resources before you start, thin your deck by 4 so you're closer to the rest of your engine. Zoey maybe doesn't need the resources as much as other Guardians, but it's a great interaction. Knowledge is Power is one of the best cards I've run in Norman, especially if you have a ton of spells. Free fast extra charge on a spell you might not even have in play. It's stupidly great. Fast, free Read the Signs at 9.
@@L0grak Ah yes. Sorry, I added the read the signs part after and didn't check. (I didn't take Read the Signs in my Norman deck, but it was great for dealing with the hound as a fast action on a shrivelling or mists that was out of charges or still in my hand)
Once the cycle is complete, I go to FFG’s website and print out the campaign guide in color and double sided and put it in sheet protectors in a three ring binder. Kind of like a poor man’s book.
I almost always like your Arkham content. I'm probably in a minority, but honestly what I'd love to see you guys tackle some time is playing on Expert difficulty with the Taboo list and trying to make the most effective decks possible, instead of doing something convoluted and thematic.

beyond the veil is a brutal card throughout Dunwich. It’s worth looking at quantum flux or deny existence for Norman
And Delay the Inevitable for Zoey.
Afraid Norman may just be dying a lot. Or those upgraded Ward of Protection sooner?

Knowledge is Power is a great card, but sadly it doesn't work on Read the Signs as it's an event and KiP only works on assets.

Wait.. do ties fail?! ... I thought it was equal to or more the 'difficulty' of the check?
Maybe there was some special rule in play? "match or exceed" is what the rulebook says.
