Tu opinión es totalmente exagerada, toda vez que hubo colegas de profesión que claramente rivalizaban con él en capacidades al violín, tal fueron los casos de Heifetz, Milstein, Stern, Francescatti, Ferras o incluso sus compatriotas Kogan y Goldstein, por decir unos cuantos. Que Oistrakh fue un grande del Violín, nadie lo puede discutir; que podría ser que fuera el violinista más completo, es una afirmación cuando menos controvertida

One of the few russians of his time that could play Mozart with finesse. But so many others were great. Heifetz, Milstein, Kogan, Grumiaux. The young Stern and also the young Menuhin. When I was young, I just loved Oistrakh and Grumiaux. As I grow older so many others are my favourites. It depends on the music and style. Today, many are so good, but I always return to listening to the older generation. Who remains your hero is a personal and emotional thing. Hard to explain.some just speak to your heart more.
