VictoryGasworks you've already touched a new generation. I'm a young man watching 4 years after your upload. Thank you for spreading your knowledge and 'keeping the fire alive'
you are the King of Gassifiers. everyone else are just amatuers. I first heard of wood gassifiers 30 years ago on the Paul Harvey radio show. He spoke about the gas rationing in England during WW2.,and folks adapted their cars. The Germans had their own fuel crisis and adapted the tiger tanks that were used in training to run on wood gas. . I was thrilled by your excellent presentation because in comparison all other videos are a waste of my time And you literally wrote the book on it. anyone serious about it is going to need a technical manual to refer as they go through the build process.. As soon as i can get my water turned back on and pay for my meds Im buying your book. I cant wait to get it in my hands.
I've always been fascinated with the process of gasification. Done researching it in the past and started to accumulate things to build a FEMA gasifier. The plans were on the internet. Obviously you have taken us way further than the FEMA gasifier which is plagued with problems. I'm sure I will be purchasing your book very shortly in converting my accumulated Parts into your design. Thank you for being such a true patriot to this country. That's very few people realize how vulnerable the whole system is. 1 EMP or coronal mass ejection and we're right back to the 1800s if we're lucky. Keep up the good work
Hi Ben, so good to see you back on the web doing the wonderful things you do. You are an inspiration toward American innovation. The gasifier is hot man, but your shop, mechanical skills, knowledge, and passion about science and all things related is what shines through. Please, keep on, learning and showing us your ideas and perspectives. I learn as much from watching how you do things as I do with what you do. Thanks for working hard to combine your years of work and study into a guide book for us all.
My dad came from a town in Mexico called San Luis Potosí and he was planning on fixing this huge water pump that could draw water from the river to a more central source for everyone to get their water since everyone has to walk to the river and we could probably use a wood gasifier to power the water pump
Not only didatic but what a great production vídeo man. thanks a lot. The world need a Thousands of men like you. Buying the Bible ... Thanks Luiz Sanvitto
This is great info! I'm so glad someone is taking woodgas seriously! I am an arborist and I have seen so much wood go to waste. I have a backyard forest full of medium sized trees that would make great fuel. I am currently building an outdoor rocket mass heater for my garden and I want to use the top of the oil drum to heat wood to make syngas. I want to use that syngas to run a generator to charge a battery and/or run lights/fan/heat/accessories This info is absolutely stellar! I'm definitely gonna buy this book
Right-On, Thanks, You've done a fantastic job building the gasifier and working the kinks out of the system for guys like myself who are interested in this alternative. I've dabbled in all the alternate energy sources and always regardless what I've build or working on have come back to this for numerous reasons. HH0 generators: are good but, inconsistent, which can play havoc running a generator. Wind doesn't make a usable gas and same goes with solar. It boils down to whats the best boom for the buck and I believe a gasifier serves all those needs, from running a vehicle to a generator, Those two things alone that covers a huge area. Thanks again. I appreciate it.
Hi Ben nice to see a true artisan who loves what he do,I`m ordering your books tomorrow, lots of it on youtube to copy, but likes yours the most.Thanking You.
I just found your channel and just bought your book. Thank you for sharing this info ! It amazes me how this tech. Gets lost over such short amount of time ! I'm definatly going to be building this thanks again
I read through the FEMA documentation on wood gasification, seems easy to follow the data tables for sizing the generator to match needs, i like the downdraft flat plate system they described. I will build a unit soon. Your book looks well done and a good resource.
Don’t forget Y2K!!!! I was assigned software compliance for a year. Easiest software money ever. FEMA was freaking out! So they wrote up a booklet on how to build a wood gasifier to run old tractors. I have two copies in my tech library. It looked like a 55 gal drum on the front of an 8N tractor!
MAN!! I am glad you're back. Get my signed copy ready! I am ordering today. Cheers Ben. Regards to your supporting family, helping to change the world for the better.
Very nice, Ben. Glad to see you've come so far. I remember having to check for new posts on the forum when I got home, before I would do anything else. You've helped me with everything I know of gasifiers and I feel this will be a must have book for all D.I.Y.ers. I will own one, that's for sure.
hey ben good to see you back on the tube you was an inspiration to me to go build gasifiers . i hate you had to close down the old forum but understood why you had to . hope the book sells well .thanks for all you do for the gasifier community
Thanks for tuning in. I'm always keeping my ear to the ground in the renewable energy space and it's darn hard to find anything that does what wood gasification does.
I haven't posted any new videos on my woodgas project in a good while. Videos like this get me thinking about finishing my gasifier though. Fuel prices have gone way down but I still like the idea of having my own fuel supply. Hoping my unit will be portable enough to move from truck to other equipment. I really should get busy on that thing, can't afford to buy one.
Phil Zolth Methanol its illegal in manny countryes and its verry dangerous plus the ,,clean,, exhaust gasses might look clean but they are verry toxic( formaldehide).
Hi. Id like to ask a question. Me and a friend are finishing High school next year. I am finishing industrial mechanics school, and he is finishing economy school. We are trying to find a small source of money, before we go to college. And thought that a wood gasifier, would be a great beginning. The gas that comes out of the wood gasifier, will power a gas motor, that power a generator... and the generator puts the inducted electricity in the web... and by doing so, you start producing your own electricity and sell it. Well since wood is not that expensive , we thought it would be a great idea. But my questions are... how much will it cost to make a wood gasifier, and how efficient would that wood gasifier be ? And is it possible to make a wood gasifier that produces 50kwh and not spend more than 5.000 euros ? Is it even possible to make such a project alone? And how much wood do you need to produce 1kwh ?
Ben Did you Ever see the Video of a old man I believe is in France, He went to war came back, He has a old truck, I think a ford, Truck looks Brand new and is Powered off a Gasifier, and Runs great
Correct me if im wrong, In a typical gasifier it's the "smoke" that is used. It's actual gas, not liquid. However there's ways to get liquids as a byproduct, like Ethanol, which can be stored and used later. Right? 🤔

Could you use a stirling cycle engine to produce ultra low temperatures to turn that gas to liquid and fill insulated bottles with frequency emitters in the bottom to cause the liquid to vaporize that can then be feed into the combustion engine?
I'm curious to know just how often you have to refill the wood hopper for continuous use? How scalable is it? I would be looking to run a 5hp generator with it.
Looks good. There aren't many of us with the skillset or equipment required to make them though. Ask around and you'll get a lot of blank looks if the words kaowool, mig and tig welding or plasma cutter are used. Then there are even some electricians who have issues with wrapping their heads around a DC current system. I hope you do well with it and I can see anyone that gets the manual will most likely be building at least a few complete units for others.

I've built the FEMA version gasifier and then one that was my design based on my research. I'm a disabled veteran and have time on my hands. I really liked my design but it had a ton of heat loss. My plan was to put that heat to good use by incorporating several heat exchangers for hot water and hot air. Since then I've gone through a divorce, lost my house, lost my storage units that held my gasifier, that also held all of the components to construct another gasifier and other gasification devices I was working on. I also had several back surgeries. That being said, I really like the design of this unit. I looked for the book mentioned here, but it's off the charts expensive. Can anyone point me in the direction of perhaps a used book? If so please let me know. Thank you. And a special thanks to the gentleman presenting this video.god bless. Jason

How hot is the flame?
Question I got is how did they build these things before they had a gasifier?
I read a Bio once of a German panzer tanker had a Panther tank that ran on wood. Crazy
