    Great job with the video! But it could be better if you added some good music in between all of the empty sounding parts.

    What hardware did you use? Actually, what is most intensive hardware anyone have ever used with this case? Please share the knowledge :-)

    Is there still room for two fans with a full size video card in there?

    • @majoraslayer64
      @majoraslayer64 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, you can fit 2 120mm fans underneath a 2-slot GPU. I have a full size RTX 2080 in mine, and I would highly recommend installing an intake fan nearer to the center of the card and set the other fan as an exhaust.

    • @xellisrevilo
      @xellisrevilo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just need an sfx power supply, sfx is a form factor like atx. The corsair sf450 is the best value right now and plenty of power for most systems

    So I've got basically the same setup here but I'm hitting some overheating issues when running some games but it not others and it idles just fine. You run into any heat problems?

    Nice build... Just wanna know is there any way to install a 3.5 HDD???

    • @GadgetWorkbench
      @GadgetWorkbench  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no standard mount for a 3.5". Some people on reddit seem to fit them on the fan side of the video card - but I don't think that is an official mounting point, and I would prefer the airflow. It will fit 2x 2.5"

      Well anything would work if you follow the case limitations. mITX motherboard, SFX PSU and a CPU cooler no taller than 55mm, anything else you can get basically what you want as long as you go by the case limits (just go to the case manufacturers web site).

    Would a blower style card be more efficient?

    • @majoraslayer64
      @majoraslayer64 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the card you want to use has a blower style cooler available, that would be ideal.

    • @jtboseovski
      @jtboseovski 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not necessarily. I found that placing two fans blowing directly onto open card works quite well.

    • @GadgetWorkbench

    • @Czaja1991
      @Czaja1991 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not that heavy. My Laptop (MSI GT73VR) + AC adapter weights 4.8 kg :D. I'm really considering building PC like yours as it might be a better semi-portable solution than my actual laptop.

      @@sondrel2 Hehe, I'm still rocking my laptop! I hope you are doing good with your small form factor and your Titan ;). Meanwhile, my concept changed a bit. Because I don't play games that much but rather work with Unreal Engine or other programs and I don't need extremely high responsiveness, nowadays I look more into building my own server and use a remote desktop when I need to travel.

    Do you recommend this exact pc build for 1080p gaming and everyday use/school work?

    • @GadgetWorkbench
      @GadgetWorkbench  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The only thing to be careful of is the CPU. If you need more cooling than a slim 56mm cooler, than it's not a good option. If you can get a low TDP CPU, then it should be OK.

    • @majoraslayer64
      @majoraslayer64 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm running an i7-9700k in mine, and its actually holding up really well. It thermal throttles at 100 celsius, but under full load I stay consistently under 85 (which at max is not a typical use case, I tested with Cinebench to max it out). It idles around 30 celsius, with highs around 45-50 in heavier real-world use. For cooling I'm running the Noctua low profile cooler with an upgraded fan. That cooler comes with a low profile fan, but you have the perfect space in there to pair a full-size 25mm thick fan with a higher CFM on top of that low profile heatsink. I opted to upgrade to a Silverstone with about 48 CFM, plus added two 120mm fans in the GPU compartment under my full-size RTX 2080. Definitely not an ideal situation for overclocking, but at stock speeds my thermals are acceptable for the 4k gaming I've thrown at it.

      @@majoraslayer64 I'm planning on using this case for an i7-9700K as well, can you please tell me specifically which Noctua low profile cooler you used?

    • @majoraslayer64
      @majoraslayer64 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bokunogentoo4420 it was the NH-L9i, but a few months later I feel like I should update. In Cinebench under load it stayed in the range I mentioned, but in much longer sustained loads (specifically ripping DVDs and encoding them for a Plex server) the temps do climb their way to 100 and start thermal throttling. I've tried several ways to cool in this case but haven't had much luck with a great solution (at least without some ugly solution bolting something onto the outside of the case). If you want to run an i7 or i9 for heavier loads I recommend a more substantial ITX case that accommodates a full size AIO.
