When a great company starts falling then I usually draw the support lines on the daily chart and observe the behaviour of price at every support. If it shows long lower wick then I buy a part of my position on the next day or the same day but strictly between 15:10-1530 meaning end of day. Then again observe the stock for next few weeks. If it goes further below then buy another part of the position when there is a long lower wick in the daily candle and hold. But if it reverses and starts going up then I wait for a retrace ment and buy the rest of the position and hold....now I make the resistance lines and only observe price behaviour on these resistances.once I have a favourable RR I exit the position. Usually in case strong stocks like kotak I would take the trade for long term.

I am expecting a correction in market before or after poll results. Reason behind is that sometimes market runs on roumers/expections and falls on news. Second reason if seats comes less than expections, it can also trigger sell off.
