Accommodations do wonders as well. I just got accommodations for my new job and it's been a godsend. I have a quiet environment to work in and it brings me peace. The last place I worked at was too noisy and way too many goals and things to do. It increased my mania.
I haven't had a manic episode in 4 months since starting this job! Very relieved.
Congrats on the new job and for your 4 month streak of not having mania! That's a double whammy of celebration. Accommodations can be true game changers.
You have completely helped me understand BP more. Agree totally with your two ‘Ts’.
Lack of sleep can trigger mania!
That is what triggered my boyfriend's first manic episode. He started a graveyard shift at his job.
I'm grateful to hear you're getting better and sharing your perspective! I can't confirm whether I'm taking the lead in battling bipolar disorder. When mental illness struck, it outright became an uphill battle for me. Obtaining driver license see what happens next. Thanl you for your advocacy in such a hard issue.
That's awesome that you're working to obtain your driver license. I really need to do the same at some point. You are welcome my friend. Thank you so much for watching.
I really like this educational format too, ty ❤🙏❤️🙏💯
I'm glad ya like it. Thank you!
Hoping you become a manager soon! Keep up the great work. Personally I’m working on my sense of urgency. Taking it a day at a time
The store manager said he has a shift manager position opening up in December of this year. That's the same month as my birthday so who knows maybe I'll get the offer. It would come with some extra responsibility but also extra pay and I'm confident I could handle it. I wish you the best in working on your sense on urgency. One day a time is a great perspective to have. It worked wonders in my experience.
I can't work. I have 3 mental illnesses (PTSD, ADHD and bipolar), autism and a physical illness called POTS. POTS makes it difficult to stand and walk.
I would like to become a certified peer counselor.
