I had an argument with an executive over his insistence on the inclusion of scene numbers before sending the script off to an active and credentialed showrunner (Who still has an overall with Apple+). The Producers argument was "UNNAMED EXEC likes and expects to see the script this way, with the scene numbers!" My counterargument was that scene numbers would confuse him since we have stated we are not presently in development elsewhere, and he was getting a first look. I wish this video was around. Yeah it does when you are going over drafts and getting notes. You just remove the numbering before you send it out.
