The Lion was funny! Mike Matei, James Rolfe's (AVGN) best friend, has always done funny characters on his episodes. He was Jason Voorhees, Bugs Bunny, that Hippie Fan on Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Cowardly Lion, and a few others.

The way the game looked, you'd think that it would've been based more on the 13 episode cartoon series that was a sequel to the original 1939 film, which ran from September 8, 1990 to December 28, 1990. I mean all the places in Oz you had to go to just to beat the game. The Giant Crow threw me off because it reminded me of one of the crows in Disney's Dumbo. The cartoon series was good, but it was incomplete as we never got to see The Wicked Witch of the West meet her end again. My guess was that the series got cancelled before we could get a conclusion. And that sucked!
