Cool little documentary, thanks for posting this for everyone to enjoy! I'd love to have a pinball machine myself, but they're so expensive, so I mostly stick to virtual pinball games, though whenever I come across a real game, I always stop to plunk down a few quarters and play for old time's sake. Got started by standing on a chair in the local pizza parlor, and I've been hooked ever since.
Pinball is so much fun. I'm so greatful I have an arcade by my home that's owned by some really good people who love being a part of keeping Pinball alive
Just got into collecting pinball. Out here in California they are hard to come by unless you live in LA or SF and they are more expensive. Getting my second machine this week. Luckily I found a local repairman that has been working on them and restoring them for 20+yrs. Wish I had started collecting 15yrs ago.
Great video! It’s a shame that only a few years later (now) the bad reputation of Stern’s machines, is killing it for good... Please take care of XX century machines, those were made to last.
Update.. 6 years later.. Prices are doubled, A dozen or more new manufacturers, "Homebrew" and re-theming and modding is the scene, Every new machine world wide presold on a 2 year waiting list.....
There are no arcades left where I live, it's such a bummer... I miss playing real pinball tables. If anyone or anything ever made me take a trip to Chicago, I know all the stops I'll be making.
it's a crying shame that this doc was put up here on youtube 2 years ago and i'm making the 4th comment. thanks uploader for the fun watch, love the insider look.
I didn't realize the guy uploaded this video until now. I always say sport for sport no one ever was as good as me. I wish I had of just played professional baseball but I only played softball so I didn't know I could hit any pitch in hardball until I was 38 years old and hit every pitch on the button in the batter's cage. It was the first time I ever went to a batter's cage. A former world champion in pinball I always said shot for shot no one alive was even in the same ballpark as me. Even at age 60 years old today i'm still the fastest player alive.

Loved spotting a Hercules in his collection. I have been before one of those mammoth machines. Did not get to play. Is my bucket list game to play.

We used to raid Moms purse for loose change back in the 70’s just to play pinball at the local arcade.
Kudos to Stern for not outsourcing their manufacturing to a low wage country
