Having a consistent routine has improved my putting results. I aim my putter on my path with the ball between my feet together. I do this with my trail (lower hand) on the grip, then I bring my lead hand on the grip. As soon as I set my stance, I count to myself one thousand one, one thousand two…I looking down at my path to the hole…I continue my count and finish my one thousand five with my eyes on the ball…and I instantly pull the trigger! ⛳️
@@misteroneputt Yes, you are correct! I see other golfers who sometimes hesitant or seem to get stuck trying to start their putt. And I know, it's in their head, second guessing themselves! By counting to myself, I don't have time for those thoughts. In the past, as soon as my eyes came back to my ball, I would have doubts if my stroke will get the ball on the right pace. I don't take any practice strokes (aka, Dave Stockton), I just get my line, do my 5 second countdown, and commit without time to think about it!
Never underestimate the help you can get from a metronome. It really helps my tempo which helps control putting pace
Another excellent video Mr. O.P. -always look at your videos first !👍
Thank you. That is very nice of you to say. Thanks again.

Nice routine. And the counting prevents negative thoughts and stress from creeping in.

I also consider having an uphill putt vs. downhill! ⛳️
do you adjust the width of your stance based on distance to the hole?
I don’t generally speaking. I might go a bit wider on a really long putt like 75 feet or more… just for stability
doesn’t the shorter follow thru promote a decelerating stroke?
No. Not if you keep the tempo.
Your tempo drill doesn’t have your ratio Your follow through is huge when you are trying to hit the tempo?
Yes my follow through is too long here. Constantly working on it
“I could miss it by 3 feet and I’m still only 2 feet from the hole” golf math
If you’re goal is 1 foot past and you miss by 3 feet short of your goal, you are only 2 feet short of the hole
What time is it? Here's how to build a watch. 😴😴
