Love Coachman caravans. Superior build quality to many other manufacturers which in turn leads to the slightly higher overall weight. Buyer will soon get used to the individual light switches and it gives lots of lighting options. Gonna look superb lit up in the evening. 👍🏻
I have been looking at Coachman caravans, and they look fantastic, but… I find one major drawback, the MPTLM Upgrade. You pay for an upgrade, only to get 10 or 20 Kgs extra….. as we plan to go touring for Months on end, and I don’t fancy emptying the caravan into the car every time we move to another site, we need a touring caravan with a payload of 300 Kilos, and unfortunately, that’s Coachman out of focus for us. It seems to me that either Coachman use the wrong chassis, too small, or they put too much weight in the caravan itself. Either way, Coachman doesn’t offer much of a payload, and if you pay 36K for a new VIP 520 that would be perfect for us,, and to say it as nicely as I can, that’s deeply disappointing. Coachman seems to “max the chassis out” too much, if I can say it like that. If I got myself a 1300 Kg caravan, with a standard MPTLM of 1450 Kgs and an upgraded MPTLM of 1600 Kgs, I’d like a chassis that has a capacity of at least 1700 Kgs. It really is a shame, Coachman are pretty much the only one that comes with Alde central heating / underfloor heating, it would be so lovely, I’d love one, but…….. Nuff said, Hahaha!!!
Off topic question ,I have a coachman vision 2016 and would love to upgrade the control panel over door to new panel.do you think that's possible as it has the same functions.
Possibly, if you can see a name on the panel you should be able to email the manufacturer and they can advise if this is possible. I'm not sure to be honest lol.
