Idk I’m only a kid and I still can’t decide which one to get. I also don’t understand the difference between the regular Metcon 9 and the Metcon 9 AMP.
Earlier in your vid, you mentioned the discomfort you felt could be due to the angle of your feet? As part of this content would you be prepared to have a follow-up vid of you taking a trip to see a podiatrist who can do a tracking scan of how you walk or run to see if your feet have any issues? It may also give you a deeper understanding of why certain trainers work well for you whereas others don't. I'm from the UK. I like you I also have to choose between two sizes. I take a size 7 and a half but always have to buy an 8 as It's really difficult to find halves in many brands of shoes.
Great review! It was very helpful in my buying decision. As for your comments on longer distance running...this shoe is designed for training. I would suggest to anyone running a significant distance to use a running shoe.
Same here. I thought there was something wrong with the pair i was wearing but then i felt around the other pairs i have and they all have a similar feel around the high rope guard area around the upper at the ankle. Haven't worn the flyease just yet.
Thanks for the video - very insightful on the two metcons. If I'm getting a Nike shoe just for everyday walking, what would you recommend? I like to paire with baggy pants and shirts, nothing fancy.
Thanks for the review @listedfit ... right now I have a better idea of both model but... I have a question ... what about the fit on Flyeasy ?? If in Nike metcon 7amp I'm 8.5 US and it was very tight really tight (I'm prefer wide). Pd right now I bough the Nike metcon 9 flyease😅. I choosed in 9 US ... what do you think? Best regard
Dear @listedfit , thanks for the awesome review on the 9s. I currently am using the 5's - have had them since March of 2020 and I feel like its time to move on up. My main workouts are bodybuilding (home workout) with LISS post typical 5/6 days splits. No crazy HIIT or cross training. Would you recommend the 8s or 9s or should I wait until the 10s. I know there is nothing out there on the 10s but wanted to throw that out there! Thank you again!!!
Hey man, thank you for your comment! If your heart is set on the Metcons then my honest opinion is that the Metcons havent really changed enough over the last few years for them to deserve the anticipation. I would also say that the Metcons aren't the best for running, a shoe like the Reebok Nano X3/X4 is a better choice for that. I would like to think that with the Metcon 10 being the 10th release, Nike might do something spectacularly different with them... But judging from the last few releases I doubt that much will change with the shoe. You could wait until the 10 is released (I'm not sure when that will be) but I think the smart move would be to just get the 9s, if you can get them on a discount then definitely do that. When the 10s eventually come out there will almost definitely be discounts on the 9s so just keep that in mind too. And maybe have a look at the Reebok Nano x3 or x4. In my opinion it's unlikely that the Metcon 10s will be majorly different from the 9s, if they are then I will be surprised! Hope that helps!
I thought it was just me. But yes, the shoes keep rubbing my ankles and it’s annoying. I have to always wear high thick socks for it to be more comfortable. 😅
When you say there’s more room in the flyease version, do you width, length or both. I’ve tried my size in the standard version and my toes were right at the end. I want the flyease version but trying to decide to go half size bigger or if stay the same size.
The Nike Metcon 9 is a joke. I bought one in Brazil, after less than 3 months it started to unravel the fabric on the top. It has no comfort or quality. Relatively expensive and breaks very easily, even when doing basic exercises at the gym, without exposing the sneakers to any stress.
Which one are you going for, FlyEase or traditional? 🤔
Idk I’m only a kid and I still can’t decide which one to get. I also don’t understand the difference between the regular Metcon 9 and the Metcon 9 AMP.
Thanks for this review, very helpful
No problem!
What a great video. I also enjoy using metcon 4, but I want to get a new pair for workout. Would you personally prefer metcon9 or metcon free 6
Love yyour videos man! Kinda unrelated, but what do you think of Bjorn Borg tights for working out and doing a bit of running?
Here in Brazil they don’t sell the .5 I need to pick the 10 or 11 size, and on both of the regular version I felt them pretty tight on the mid foot.

Thank you for making this comparison
My pleasure, hope it helps you!
What is better for weightlifting and bodybuilding style workouts , metcon 9 or metcon 8
9
I had the ankle and top of the foot (around) rubbing as well. Ugh.
Very annoying. Still hasn't gone away for me either!
Samee😢

ayoo brah does this have the same sizing as metcon 7? like true to size or do i have to go down my real size because it’s bulky?

dont get a metcon for walking... it's horrible for that
Pegasus
Nano for me is better

Thanks for the video , still can’t decide so going to order both flyease and regular then just return whatever doesn’t fit as good 👍
I like the early metcons like 4-6 but i hate the last few.
Dis that ankle issue improved with time?
Not for me, no.

Nano x3 is way better for lifting......These metcons still lack that extra gripping.... From personal experience.

Hopefully they fix this problem in the next model!

talk a lil bit on the breathabillity then these vids will be FIRE!

what about the metcon 9 easyon?
The Easyon and the Flyease are the same model
