To be fair, I missed it too until you mentioned it.
Impressions from someone who loves the genre and plays an absolute ton of it:
1. The combat feels somewhat basic, but is clean and satisfying
2. The extraction gimmick actually sounds like a fun variant
3. The meta upgrades are the primary differentiator here
All in all, I'll certainly buy it and play a bit myself. Thanks for continuously growing my backlog, Wander. :D
seems the idea is to rotate between classes so debuffs don't pile up and you unlock things fasters
This seems like it does the extraction element better than Survivor Mercs did, for me at least.

It looks to me like the spear attack was always going in the direction of travel, and opposite to that, however, there appears to be a very minor delay between first thrust and second, and if you changed direction in that time period, than the second trust would take the reverse of wherever you were traveling at that point.
Exactly this! First attack goes forward, second goes a few frames later, and shoots backwards. Which means, if in the middle of the "combo" you turn 180º you can do two attacks in the same direction, or stuff like that.
It looks like the wish version of "Yet Another Zombie Survivor" in term of gameplay but the actual gestional aspect of the game is nice.

Absolutely no hate btw, just find it interesting how often I see people missing stuff in games, when I know I scan the scene in most, if not all the games I play. Just shows how differently people's minds work.

Because of that we need those tutorials what explain what blue key can be used to open a blue door, or what sword can be used to defeat the enemies.
doesn't "help" that wander suspects having some kind of ADHD, and also just streamer syndrome, constantly speaking while playing takes a GOOD chunk of your attention span and makes it much much easier to miss "obvious" things.

I'd love to see more of this game! Love the way you recruit new characters like in Darkest Dungeon! That's a cool addition to the genre in my opinion.
I am sure that you figured out the evolution systems but I was literally shouting at the screen when you were wondering why you weren't evolving. Bottom right of the screen when you level up shows what other items you need to level. Great vids though. Keep it up.
Bought this right after the video, super cheap and I like the style and way the progression works.
The base-building character-building mix kinda reminds me of Darkest Dungeon, anyone else?

Have you tried the old flash game “Rebuild 3” on Armor Games? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Clearing out an actual city from the zombies in the shortest time and upgrades between maps and endless mode. It is one of my favorites.

Wierd observation here but has anyone else noticed that in all bullet heavens exp pickups move slightly away from you before coming towards you, is this some kind of unity asset or everyone sorta copying the first game that did it ?
Would be cool to add some base defense to this between rounds for sure.
I'm pretty sure I saw a bullet heaven in a city not long ago. Fighting zombies in a big city, going around buildings and all.

Not gonne lie, iam kinda over this Genre.
Its boring run after boring run with little differences, then spent alot into meta progression for tiny upgrades and start the circle again.
I think this Genre realy needs some fresh ideas to get me interested again.

I recently downloaded holocure after avoiding it for so long because I'm not super into hololive. That game has so many unlockables I love it

By strict definition, it does not seem to be a rogue-like game. Another dilution of the term, arggh!
This is not a "bullet heaven game". This is a "rogue survivor game". Please, use a correct terminology.
