Joni is a genius. It is worth listening to pretty much everything she released. She starts as folky singer songwriter, and evolves into more of a jazz artist. She writes, sings and plays multiple instruments.
This is my favorite track on "Blue" which boasts several more acclaimed songs. Ever been someplace and just were struck with the feeling that you shouldn't be there? This strikes home for me. Love the multiple acoustic guitars and the string bending. Beautifully sung all over the scales. For me her next album is the best, "For the Roses" has the confessional aspect that many of "Blue" songs does but with even better production and more mature singing. Some songs are heart breaking. Never get tired of that album.
