I think Fett just took another person's outfit again (a Tusken's), like he had before with his Mando armor. But then again, I suppose it is possible there is more to that story yet to be told.
I'm not aware if it was in any other source or not, but could it be possible that after Jango's death Bobba joined the creed, became a real mandalorian, and after being rescued by Jawas who saw his face he had to leave the armor behind?
He was probably rescued by a band of Tusken Raiders. They fed him and gave him water. He probably knew a bit about their language, told them he hated those guys with laser swords, they said the same. They bonded and made him a part of the tribe.
This is a little one. But when the sand people give Cobb their water, the sound effect it makes when Cobb crushes it is the same one used when Vader would choke someone out in the originals.
THANK YOU! I seriously can't believe after Cobb specifically ASKED for Spotchka, this dude is seriously trying to say it's "blue milk"... Seriously ruins credibility. Didn't even finish the video.
In the comics, R5D4 was really a Force sensitive droid called Skippy. He purposly had his motivator malfunction so that Owen Lars would buy R2-D2 instead, because he had a vision through the Force that R2 had to end up with Luke in order for the Empire to fall.
@ what's wrong with that? This new generation are getting more star wars than the OT & Prequels combined. It's not an exclusive club for die hard fans only.
The Gamorians in the ring was definitely a callback to the PS1 game Masters of Teras Kasi, with Thok and his axe acting exactly as depicted in this episode. That was a pretty neat deep easter egg to catch that seemingly flew under everyone else's radar.
6:54 except it totally looks like one of Anakin's pod racer engines. EDIT: Cobb Vanth said "tell your people I didn't break that" because Mando literally smashed it with his rifle minutes earlier. Also, hasn't it already been confirmed that Jango and Boba aren't Mandalorians?
If you mentioned it I didn’t catch it... but another little Easter egg is the tusken black melons. Those have been mentioned in new canon literature and comics before as their main source of moisture... putrid, putrid moisture. 😂 And if I’m not mistaken they also used them for fermenting a psychoreactive liquor too.
His speeder is actually one of the engines from Little Orphan Ani's pod racer, just modified to have a seat. Seriously, put up pictures of them and compare them side by side. When I was watching the episode it was really bugging me because it looked so familiar.
So I was thinking that maybe boba fett is a mandalorian. This would explain why he hasn’t reclaimed his armor because once someone sees your face you can never put the armor back on again. It’s just a thought though I’ve always thought that the fetts weren’t actually mandalorians but who knows
Isn't Jango from Concord Dawn? I mean, that technically makes him a Mandalorian citizen. He was, however, from a time when Mandalore were a bunch of pacifists. Death Watch were considered criminals and thugs too, but they were like the Mandalorians in the past.
The Republic/Jedi realigned Mandalore's government after the Jedi - Mandalorian wars, this is why Satine is a "Duchess" and not a "Mandalore" They exiled ANY Mandalorians still following the creed to Concordia and subsequently Concord Dawn. In terms of "real", Jango and Death Watch were more "real" than Almec and Satine who were only Mandalorian by birth...but "Mandalorian isn't a race, it's a creed". Anyone, of any race or birthplace can be an Mandalorian and one could say that natural born Mandalorians who DON'T follow the creed would likely be seen as traitors...Which is actually why Pre Vizla wanted to remove Satine from power in the first place.
He said "Dang Farrik" which was first introduced in Mandalorian Season 1 when Mythrol said it. Fierfek is not Mando'a but Huttese. Mando'a curse words are: Hutuun, haar'chak, sheb, shab, di'kut
When we get a close up of Boba Fett's helmet, there is an indentation above the left eye. This was caused by a duel Boba had during the Clone Wars with Cad Bane. Sadly we didn't get to see the duel because the episode was never fully released.

When the tusken raider approached the cave to call out the krayt dragon, he used the same call used by obi wan in the original 1977 version of Star Wars. When the krayt dragon answered back, it was with the 1997 special edition re-release obi wan call.
Theory/prediction; BF has no real purpose at this start of the season, as a nomadic wanderer, and maybe his sense of character /has/ changed too, having survived and adapted to Tatooine life...I'd bet he has a struggle with identity and belonging, being the clone of a bounty hunter who assumed a Mandalorian visage...but once he and our Mando meet, he will start to 'earn back his armour'...And that pivot could begin with a simple exchange like Fett saying something like 'I'm no Mandalorian...' and Mando's response being 'Nor was I.' Because going by one canon source and even in the old Legends background, Fett was never from Mandalore...Just like Djinn... (Okay, brain-dump ramble over XD)
in the expanded universe Boba eventually becomes the new leader of Mandalore. I predict that they will join forces and defeat Moff Gideon and steal back the Darksaber. Fett learns to wield it and becomes the new leader of Mandalore, reuniting the tribes and finding new purpose.
i had to rewind and watch Doug at least 5 times what a presence, professional acting chops, calm when asked the tough questions what an asset. plus its a dog with a job.
Two little plotholes that annoyed me: 1- The marshal fired a second rocket at the dragon battle even though he had already shot it to blow up the miners, I assume you cant just jam any rocket in the jetpack so where did he get a fit? Are mandalorian rockets a common thing now? 2- Why wasn't mando hurt by the acid spit, sure the beskar is resistant but what about the parts that are not covered by armor?
To answer your first question. When he shot the miners that was almost 5 years before. The miner attack was a flashback right after the death star blew up. So that gives him 5ish years to gain a new rocket. Hope that helps clear it up
@@bradycampbell5135 yeah i know it was a flashback but still, how often does he leave the city and how could he possibly get a mandalorian rocket for that specific old model jetpack? I know its a nitpick but still...
It's a custom made rocket I expect. It doesn't look like a mando rocket. The rocket from the flashback and the rocket from the dragon fight are both head nods to the kenner action figure.
Cobb lied about the whole story I'm betting. A weakened Boba came into town, killed the mining guild, then collapsed from exhaustion and injuries. Cobb stole his armor and dragged him out into the dunes to die. He was saved by the raiders, as he also knows their language, and probably has a reputation with them.
am i crazy, or was the scene where cobb refuses to drink the sand raiders’ drink a redo of the scene in temple of doom where willie scott refuses to eat the indian tribe’s food and indy says she’s insulting them and embarrassing him.
Or....he wanted to take it back..BUT! He saw the cowboy guy used the armor to protect he’s village so..Boba just waited for him to stop wearing he’s armor in need to cast aside it so that boba could take it back..
The Pod Engine is from Anakins Pod Racer. It even makes the same sound. The two new Aliens shown are reused Aliens from the Force Awakens. The first Alien can be see in the castle and the other is a police guy which Ray fights off in the beginning, but the scene got deleted ... but they still made an action figure of him which you can still buy. Guess it was already in production and the cut happened much later.
They missed a great opportunity for an Easter egg. Having just one time where the Missile on Fetts armor doesn’t fire. And then Mando could chide Cobb with “you mean that thing does’t actually work?” Referencing the non-functional missile on the original Kenner Boba Fett action figure.
Of course the missile did originally work on the prototype Kenner originally showed to the public, but they were worried about choking hazards so they changed it before release. Since only about 25 figures with the working missile exist, they're the most expensive Star Wars toy of all time. Just seeing that missile fire at all (complete with bending over to fire) felt like an Easter egg to that original toy.
Regarding the Antenna flipping down on the helmet, Jango did use it very quickly when he grapples Obi-Wans hands together as he's trying to call back his lightsaber while fighting on Kamino
Fett's armour wasn't Beskar, it was Durasteel. That's why it has a dent. Durasteel is strong enough to save your head from a blaster bolt but not without damage. Beskar wouldn't have deformed but just shrug it off.
That's what I thought is true to but in the episode when he's shooting all the guys in the saloon he gets shot in the body armor and it does not even make a dent
@@tannersrdr2clips432 during that scene the shot wasnt a direct hit, just a glancing blow. The armor deflected rather than absorbed the shot. Mando's Beskar took a shot from a high powered blaster with no damage last season
I think that Boba fett was originally suppose to be with Mando guy cuz the story is about finding Baby Yoda species and.... maybe Boba have witness master at some point in the clone wars, so he tells the story bout Yoda.. being a Jedi Master training an army of Jedi’s
There is a character in the arena fight scene that is just like an action figure sold for the force awakens. However, that figure was edited out of the movie, Constable Zuvio. I would show a pic but don't know how to add it.
Jango does use the rangefinder antenna in the fight on Kamino in Episode 2. When he's flying and about to use the whipcord from his gauntlet, the rangefinder comes down to assist his aim. Numerous clones use it in the clore wars
The pearl that we can find in the kryat dragon was a big loot u could have on a boss in the MMORPG star wars the old republic.I think its a big reference to this game (; @ScreenCrush
The antenna/targeting device we see the Marshal using has actually been used before. In Rebels, Sabine often used the scope and if I recall correctly, I think she even used it the same way to fire a missle from he jetpack in one of the episodes.
The Krayt dragon and the fight against it reminded me of the molduga from breath of the wild. The way it swims under the sand, and the way they killed it by blowing it up from the inside, just like how you feed the molduga remote bombs to injure it.
I think boba sold his armor to the jawas for saving his life. He was a friend to the empire so he had to go off radar. I bet boba is living at hutt's palace, thats were mando will go next.

This show is one big pilgrimage to Starwars Bounty Hunter. Which should and still is in my mind 100% Canon. The red eyes in the dark is clearly a reference to the Bando Gora, Massiff dogs and lil pug nose hoppy thing are from the tuaken raider tattooine levels, even using the zoom finder as a scanner/targeting computer. Why does it seem like none of the above is talked about or addressed. For anyone who hasn't played Star Wars Bounty Hunter, go out and buy it. You won't regret!!
Good job. To answer your question, Boba Fett uses his range finder in Tue Empire Strikes Back when we first see him in the Slave One's cockpit, and Jango Fett uses his in Attack of the Clones during flight while fighting Obe Won, though neither of those uses are for firing the rocket.
Hi Ryan! When Mando talks to the Tusken Raiders, there's a scene that gets revesed. Pretty sure that was a nod to the scene in "A new hope" when Luke gets attacked by a screaming Tusken.
When mando is speaking to the town and brings up the Dune Sea, Cobb Van looks away and seems anxious. I think Cobb van found boba and saved him from the sarlacc but stole his armour and left him for dead. The jawas story is a lie, boba will fight mando for his armour back (I think will lose or come to a draw ) where boba explains what actually happen and how Cobb van isn’t what he’s claiming to be
yeah, it seemed a bit off that he was supposedly walking for days in the tatooine desert without even looking what is inside the box he stole. even less logical is how he should survive for multiple days in a desert with fucking twin suns
Cobbs story was true as it was new cannon in the new Disney books about how the first order came to be, long before this episode in the "aftermath series". The armor was in the possession of some Jawa's but in the books he is shopping at a parked crawler and it is in a box thats in room with "parts from jaba's sail barge" (thats how you know it's fetts in the books) ... and he fights with and shoots one of the red key mining guild members who is also shopping on the crawler and also wants it. When asked why he wants it he says to bring law to the lawless. Its a very cool chapter and very well written. Though until now it was never explicitly clear that it was boba's you just got enough clues to piece it together.
Agents of SHIELD is available on Netflix There is something, an easter egg from A New Hope in The Marshall that nobody has mentioned yet. In A New Hope, when Luke and Obi Wan comes across the destroyed sandcrawler that belonged to the jawas who sold the droids to Owen Lars, Luke thinks that the sand people did it because there are bantha tracks and gafferi sticks everywhere but Ben says that it isn't because sand people ride in single file to disguise their numbers The sand people in this episode rode rode in single file too
The Mandalorian rangefinder has been used to aim the rocket by Sabine Wren for sure, and I believe in the Clone Wars series as well. Loved seeing it in action here 👏🏼

Pretty sure that back in the day when the Boba Fett figure was advertised it was identified as a range finder.
That “antenna” is called a “range finder”. Sigh.
Yes, I noticed the nipple slip. My hormones were outrageous when I was a kid. If a nipple slipped and I was asleep I would have noticed it.
I'm more baffled by the kids drawings in the background at 6:34 because I've never heard anyone talk about those drawings being there. Something kids did when their parents weren't filming at some point I guess. And nobody thought to edit the kid art out
I noticed it, but it was also two days before my 15th birthday, so yeah, the teen hormones thing were active. :D
The windmill, when the dragon comes thru, looks a lot like the scene in Tremors when the graboid "swims" by.
I think Boba Fett has become an honorary Tusken. Look at his weapons, look at his eye marks, similar to the round eye goggle things they wear...
Boba Fette is Boba Fette ...that is all
@@scooterdogg7580 Imagine if Dave Filoni had that attitude with Maul.
For the targeting reticle on the helmet, not Boba Fett but you can see the clones use it (especially Rex) in multiple Clone Wars episodes
I gotta admit the “your mom” joke was really unexpected this time
yeah the "speaking of Deadwood cast members" threw me off also 3:59
Eh I was already mouthing what he'd say before he did, but it was clever cause of the context established before
Yeah, he got me. I'm a huge Deadwood fan and was trying to figure out if that was the actress that played Jane.
This is a little one. But when the sand people give Cobb their water, the sound effect it makes when Cobb crushes it is the same one used when Vader would choke someone out in the originals.
4:13 that’s actually Spotchka from S1 Ep. 5
THANK YOU! I seriously can't believe after Cobb specifically ASKED for Spotchka, this dude is seriously trying to say it's "blue milk"... Seriously ruins credibility. Didn't even finish the video.
The Arc troopers used the antenna as a targeting computer in the Clone Wars. Or at least as a sort of binoculars.

My Name is Nobody with Henry Fonda is one of the best Westerns.
In the comics, R5D4 was really a Force sensitive droid called Skippy. He purposly had his motivator malfunction so that Owen Lars would buy R2-D2 instead, because he had a vision through the Force that R2 had to end up with Luke in order for the Empire to fall.
This is the video I've been looking for.
P.s. 100% wasn't drinking blue milk in a saloon.

I think it's the same thing those villagers that Mando and Cara Dune saved made
Yes. I looked for your comment just to say this. I didnt want to be the 5th guy to point this out.

4:13 LOL! "Blue milk". That's what all tough cowboys drink at the saloon.
Jango uses his rangefinder to shoot his middle at obi wan in episode 2
The Gamorians in the ring was definitely a callback to the PS1 game Masters of Teras Kasi, with Thok and his axe acting exactly as depicted in this episode. That was a pretty neat deep easter egg to catch that seemingly flew under everyone else's radar.
Def anakins racer and boba used the tracker in empire tracking falcon.
It referenced Jaws, i think the part when he fumbled the explosive was word for word
Jango uses his targeting computer against Obi Wan on Kamino in Attack of The Clones when he ropes his hands together.
So cool
Dude, that was one of Anakin’s pod engines Cobb made his speeder from.
The artist David Choe in the fighting crowd and the bouncer was the black pirate from PotC black pearl.
Choe also did the graffiti in the beginning.
So I was thinking that maybe boba fett is a mandalorian. This would explain why he hasn’t reclaimed his armor because once someone sees your face you can never put the armor back on again. It’s just a thought though I’ve always thought that the fetts weren’t actually mandalorians but who knows
The Fetts aren’t Mandalorians but it is an interesting theory.
Can't believe you missed Timothy Olyphant being called the marshall. He plays a US Marshall in Justified.
Did anyone catch that he said, "Feirfek." A Mandoa Curse word.

The swoop bikes appears in the old Shadows of the Empire game way before the animate series 😉
Anakin rode one on Tatooine in AOTC too.
@@danielschneider2374 They also added one to Episode IV with the Special Edition. I know they existed before that (like mentioned above) but they've been on screen since at least 1997.
You missed the fact Timothy Olyphant, who was a Marshall in Justified and Deadwood. The Marshall title was because of him
One reference I noticed was that Olyphant plays the titular "Marshall", a character very similar to US Marshal Raylan Givins from Justified...
Yep! He was a crack shot in Justified and same in the flashback scene.
As I said in my comments, the opening dialogue and conflict was totally Raylan Givens (in space)
I understand that maybe Ryan watches Deadwood and not Justified, but man talk about missing a massive easter egg. Timothy is a US Marshall for the whole show. As others have said, dude played his Raylan Givens role, but this time in a Boba Fett outfit. My jaw hit the floor when he took the helmet off. 🤯
@@DienamicP And the character he played in Deadwood, Seth Bullock, was the sheriff of Deadwood and later a U.S. Marshall (and I think even one of the Rough Riders).
Notice Cobb addresses the bartender as Weequay, the name of the species. Such overt specieism right there.
Fett learns to wield it and becomes the new leader of Mandalore, reuniting the tribes and finding new purpose.
man.... such a HUGE difference in quality in channels meant for each fandom and ... channels like this.
Breaking news: The show called "The Mandalorian" is going to be about Mandalorians.
Just heard the theory that the Mandalorian was referring not to Mando, but to baby Yoda.
i had to rewind and watch Doug at least 5 times what a presence, professional acting chops, calm when asked the tough questions what an asset. plus its a dog with a job.
How do people not think the opening planet is Lothal?! The similarities are uncanny🤦♂️
That's why I wish this show would put the planet names in the corner like they did in Rogue One.
@@mhill781 agreed

first of all I love the way you script your videos, the "your mom" and Doug was hilarious
Two little plotholes that annoyed me:
1- The marshal fired a second rocket at the dragon battle even though he had already shot it to blow up the miners, I assume you cant just jam any rocket in the jetpack so where did he get a fit?
@@jordanbeischer6996 Damn thats a really cool theory. I'd go nuts to see it materialize in the show

Chances are Boba Fett has more appearances in store for him this season.
They missed a great opportunity for an Easter egg. Having just one time where the Missile on Fetts armor doesn’t fire. And then Mando could chide Cobb with “you mean that thing does’t actually work?” Referencing the non-functional missile on the original Kenner Boba Fett action figure.
Awwwwwwww 😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
No 1 would get that
Exept u
I would show a pic but don't know how to add it.
the one youre talking about is shown briefly in the video at 1:00 min
Jango does use the rangefinder antenna in the fight on Kamino in Episode 2. When he's flying and about to use the whipcord from his gauntlet, the rangefinder comes down to assist his aim.
Numerous clones use it in the clore wars
I had assumed that the "pignosed hairless rabbits" were the wamp rats that Luke talked about.
Was I wrong?
The only time Boba uses the helmet screen is in Empire Strikes Back when he’s flying after the Millennium Falcon.
You missed the detail/Easter egg on boba fetts jet pack. There’s a piece of metal covering the whole created by Han
I noticed that too
The Krayt dragon and the fight against it reminded me of the molduga from breath of the wild.
When Mando rode into Mos Pelgos the first time, one of the villagers he passed was a cameo from Sam Witwer (Voice of Starkiller and Darth Maul)
The Marshall was riding one of Anakin's engines from his podracer
I thought he said, “Tell your people I didn’t break that”, because Mando broke the jet pack when he hit it in this episode.

@@OKLAMA- I haven't watched it yet and I had the same reaction as @Exhale_D2. So by your reply it sounds like the thumbnail was just clickbait and that Boba Fett isn't necessarily in the episode. When he says "Tell your people I didn't break that" talking about Boba's Mando. armour I thought he was referring to any damage caused by when Mando.hit it to send the marshal flying into the air..I could be wrong but thats how it came across to me when I watched it. Fantastic show keeping the flag flying for StarWars in general & respect's the original material that made the franchise in the first place (so wish Dave & co. Had been at the helm for the movies)...keep it coming.
Fun Fact: The sound that Kenobi makes in A New Hope to scare the Tuskens is a Krate Dragon!
Which one? Lucas changed it like 3 times.. 😉🤪
That was literally mentioned in this video, you doof.
There was a scene that paid homage to Jaws when the Crate Dragon emerged. Did anyone spot that?
Good job. To answer your question, Boba Fett uses his range finder in Tue Empire Strikes Back when we first see him in the Slave One's cockpit, and Jango Fett uses his in Attack of the Clones during flight while fighting Obe Won, though neither of those uses are for firing the rocket.
9th time i looked if you have uploaded yet...

Hi Ryan! When Mando talks to the Tusken Raiders, there's a scene that gets revesed. Pretty sure that was a nod to the scene in "A new hope" when Luke gets attacked by a screaming Tusken.
this is the way
Thanks Doug! I never noticed that lol!
When mando is speaking to the town and brings up the Dune Sea, Cobb Van looks away and seems anxious. I think Cobb van found boba and saved him from the sarlacc but stole his armour and left him for dead. The jawas story is a lie, boba will fight mando for his armour back (I think will lose or come to a draw ) where boba explains what actually happen and how Cobb van isn’t what he’s claiming to be
Yeah Cobb was a bit of a knob. I’d love to see a show down between Din and Boba. I just hope they don’t make Boba a “good guy” now.
yeah, it seemed a bit off that he was supposedly walking for days in the tatooine desert without even looking what is inside the box he stole. even less logical is how he should survive for multiple days in a desert with fucking twin suns
@@laurinnn yes if I was dying of thirst I would of looked in that container it’s definitely a lie
He did jump right into the dragon fight by flying first while mando was watching. He also gave him the armor and stuck to his word.
A tiny detail I haven't seen mentioned anywhere is S2E1, 6:37, When the kid closes his pod, it plays the SWG message notification.
Agents of SHIELD is available on Netflix
There is something, an easter egg from A New Hope in The Marshall that nobody has mentioned yet.
In A New Hope, when Luke and Obi Wan comes across the destroyed sandcrawler that belonged to the jawas who sold the droids to Owen Lars, Luke thinks that the sand people did it because there are bantha tracks and gafferi sticks everywhere but Ben says that it isn't because sand people ride in single file to disguise their numbers
The sand people in this episode rode rode in single file too
Good catch
The Mandalorian rangefinder has been used to aim the rocket by Sabine Wren for sure, and I believe in the Clone Wars series as well.
