Hey Kat! Few questions. Where do we get that seed organizer. You mentioned your in Maine growing? Our seed Haul: I asked our garden community for 2 or 3 Candy roaster squash seeds. They replied with sending us 50,000 seeds. Lesson. Never ask seed addicts for seeds! We got blessed yes but, I'm overwhelmed in the abundance of it all. So all melon and squash yeah we just literally toss some seeds out into the Lower back of the Shire and they take over 1/2 acre. we have a reserved 1,000 square foot garden area we are working on this year. Our goal is to prevent disaster as our chickens wiped out over 85% of our starts last year and the goose lawn mowed the rest down leaving us with a few Basil plants, some tomatoes and 8 cucumber plants. Lesson learned. we will construct basic netted hoop houses as i need the birds to pest control ticks and grasshoppers, snakes ( yes they eat snakes *baby timber rattlers*) We are zone 7a Central TN near Sugar Tree just 1/4 mile from the TN river system. The Biome here is hot and muggy like really bad pea soup. Everything if not dehumidified year round can get moldy. The Tiny home (our cabin) is in the middle of the woods with a long dirt muddy road. Its 100% solar powered with a huge 15KwHr Lithium DIY Battery ( we constructed from an EV wrecked smart for two
To save you trouble, try winter sowing your squash. It's what I do every year for my squash/ pumpkins. I set them out in jugs outside in March and it saves me from having to grow big 'ol squash plants under my grow lights
Great haul! I hope they all grow amazingly for you
Thanks so much !!! 😁
