I’ve been seeing House Of Wax getting some love finally and I’m so glad. I feel like it got tossed in the trash with a lot of similar type movies from that era and I’m so glad we’ve realized it’s such a fun movie.

30 Days of Night is a good rewatch for me. Partly because the first time I literally watched the whole thing through the cracks in my fingers because it was SO SCARY
My list of most re-watched horror films: -The Shining -Ready or Not -Happy Death Day -The Wicker Man (the original) -Death Proof (1/2 of Grindhouse) -From Dusk till Dawn -The entire Scream Franchise
I think we’re almost the same person. Those are all my favorite except for “The Wicker Man” only because I haven’t seen it but, it is on my watchlist!!
I honestly struggle so much with rewatching things I am usually a one and done watcher unless the movie is really complex then I will rewatch to understand the story. I think Scream is the only franchise I can happily rewatch multiple times and never tire of it, another is probably The Craft which is maybe more horror adjacent but that movie I never tire of.
I LOVE sorority row. It’s so iconic to me. I can’t believe it’s rated so low??? It’s so entertaining and all the characters are fun. I love how much attitude the blond has, and the lead is a likeable character. And, like you said, the kills are fun. My favorite is the one with the wine bottle.
some of these are more thrillers than horror but mine : Hereditary, Train To Busan, Conjuring, The Descent, Silent Hill, Cabin In The Woods, Final Girls, Circle, Would You Rather, It, Split and Black Swan. plus some Saw movies I've seen multiple times too
The Descent is one of my top two favourite horror movies of all time. I love it when the horror comes from realistic places (in this case spelunking and claustrophobia). It's also one of the few movies that has actually made me react while watching, either it's finding it difficult to breathe or just jumping in my seat as the girls are chased. It's just so fucking good. 10/10, would recommend with highest praise
I can definitely rewatch anything. From having my faves in the background while doing other stuff or sitting and paying attention as if I’m watching for the first time. lol My top three horror/comfort rewatches. Friday the 13th (original, my #1 fave horror movie of all time) Ghost Ship Thirteen Ghosts
Yeaaahhh hmmmmmm what else DID gore verbinski direct.. how about uhh, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN?? I know it’s not a horror movie but it’s a pretty HUGE movie lol
I love your channel even though we rarely ever agree on things. 😂 I’d say my comfort movies are The Exorcist, The Exorcist 3 (believe it or not), Alien, The Thing, Hellraiser, The Wicker Man (original), The Shining (every Xmas for some weird reason?), The Changeling, and Scream because it’s my son’s fav and he watches it like, ten times a year.
my comfort watch is Hereditary, which is another movie I think is much better on multiple viewings! Darkness Falls used to be another one of my favorite rewatches as a kid, because my aunt had the dvd and probably watched it at least once a month haha I always welcome the kitty joining!
@@luthebong I don't know what it is, it just perfectly mirrors what's going on somewhere in my brain, maybe. now MIDSOMMAR...... THAT'S a movie I've only been able to watch once lmao
Even though it only came out last year X is easily one of my most rewatched horror films! And two of my most rewatched horror films are remakes that I'd never seen the original to - Prom Night and When a Stranger Calls. Not justifying those films are necessarily good, however, but just comfy to me.
If you EVER make your cat leave that’s gonna be an instant UNFOLLOW lol. I LOVE Blair Witch 2016. I think I watched it 3x in a row when I first found it.
My rewatches are typically my comfort films; the Final Destination franchise, House of Wax (00’s version), The Descent, Alien, Grave Encounters etc. Something about them is sooo rewatchable to me. I also find myself going back to the Chernobyl Diaries now and then and I’m with you, I think it’s an enjoyable movie!
The Wicker Man (1973), Rosemary’s Baby (1968), The Shining (1980), The Exorcist (1973), Carrie (1976), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1973?) The old classics.
Love the video idea! :) Mine are: *Midsommar, Would you rather, Old, Silent night, Get out, Cam, Bodies bodies bodies, The sixth sense, The loved ones, I spit on your grave* (original and first remake), and *Influencer* from this year i can see myself re-watching multiple times in the future.
So I had the same experience with The Ring. It really messed me up. Im in my 40s and only just started watching horror the last few years because of that movie. My top horror rewatches are the Conjuring and Silence of the Lambs.
Last Night in SoHo is much more interesting the second time around, knowing how it all ends. My favorite rewatches are Mulholland Dr., As Above So Below, Evil Dead 2 and probably… Idle Hands lol
Dog Soldiers IS AWESOME!! You HAVE to watch it! The only 'spoilers' I'd give are that there isn't a lot of gore, there are no kids getting killed, and there are no animals killed on screen - though you do see a cow corpse. Oh, and just in case it matters, it's VERY British.
I regularly rewatch Suspiria (2018), Midsommar and Gone Girl. All time favs :) I used to be really into the first Alien, I need to revisit it sometime.
My most rewatched is Paranormal Activity and was surprised it wasn't on this list. You've made me want to go watch The Ring again though. Also, Aliens and The Sixth Sense snd The Village but those might be more Thrillers than Horror.
dog soldiers is a light hearted, gory but not overly gory (but still gory), fast pace wearwolf movie. its good fun, wortha watch but i dont think it will be your fav movie or anything like that. but its a little more fun than intense.
i think Get Out is my most rewatched horror movie! i love rewatches, i especially love showing movies to people who have never seen them before. i think all of jordan peele’s movies make great rewatches, i also have rewatched bodies bodies bodies a couple of times and can see that becoming a regular rewatch for me- that’s definitely a movie i think i liked better the second time i watched it.
A cure for wellness is my joint favorite film of all time (alongside donnie darko). The score, the visuals, everything about it is stunning. As for horrors I rewatch alot - remake of when a stranger calls, final destination 3 and a haunting in Connecticut. They are simple easy watches I no i'm going to love everytime.
My most rewatched horror movie is probably Final Destination 3, because it’s the best one of the series obviously and also I own the dvd where you can choose different events and it’ll effect how the movie goes and it’s just so much fun and such a 2006 thing I love it. Also “Drag me to hell” because it’s so funny (and so underrated) imo
I saw all the remakes before I ever saw the originals, and in most cases (not all)... even after seeing the originals.... I still prefer the remakes 👀 The 2000s horror girlie in me just adores the remakes from that era. Also I'm a rewatch fanatic. Very few things I won't rewatch :D
My most rewatched horror are Alien, Aliens (these two in particular i rewatch an insane amount of times!) original Halloween plus a few of the sequels, original Poltergeist, original Nightare on Elm street as well as most of the sequels, the entire Scream series, I've also watched The Ring and Silent Hill many times as well. Chernobyl Diaries too lol. I can't help but like that movie. Also, What Lies Beneath and The Hills Have Eyes remake
Nice to see Last Night In Soho on your list! Mine would be A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984), Poltergeist (1982), The Evil Dead (1981), Hellraiser (1987), The Exorcist (1973), Lost Highway (1997) and Black Swan (2010). The last two aren't always considered as 'horror', but for me they definitely are.
Wellp here goes nothing. What needs to happen to someone somewhere puts together a list of movie's made last year and this year. The release dates for dvd and Bluray movies.
My most rewatch movies are for sure The Mummy (1999) et Return of the Mummy, I’ve been rewatching them 10 Times a year for the past 15 years now 😭 but real horror rewatch I would say Rec 1 and 2, House of Wax, Texas chainsaw massacre (1974), Hostel 2 and final destination 3, they are my comfort movies
Randomly watched Chernobyl diaries when I was home with a migraine for the first time, ended up really enjoying it. Surprised to see it on here! Also, for what it's worth, love your channel! You seem super chill and I find your thoughts on horror movies intriguing. Got me watching lots of the A24 movies lately.
I'm definitely gonna need to check out Last Night in Soho, it seems right up my alley! For me, I'm always happy to rewatch any of Hammer's gothic horrors, but especially Twins of Evil. I could watch it hundreds of times and not get bored of it.
The Descent is my all-time favorite horror movie and most re-watched, so I'm glad it made the list! I also love Chernobyl Diaries, so I'm in the minority with you 😂
I love the Blair Witch sequel, I even own it and it's part of my very tiny DVD collection. My biggest rewatch though is the Resident Evil franchise 💀I grew up watching them and remember being terrified by the first two. I have a RE marathon and watch all 6 movies at least once a year lol
I LOVE Cabin in the Woods. One of my favorite movies of all time. I am not a fan of most horror movies, but this movie. Perfect piece of art. Also one that is better on the rewatch for me, even though the twist is revealed. You just catch something new each watch. I’ll have to check out some of the other movies you recommend. My list is Cabin in the Woods, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Trick ‘r Treat, Evil Dead 2 (1987).
I will NEVER accept Sorority Row slander. It is a perfect movie to me and always will be. The cast (like THE Carrie Fisher are you kidding me??!!), the setting, the plot, the suspense, the kills, just epic. But this was the first time hearing about the tweet you mentioned about a possible sequel and tears actually started pooling in my eyes. The way the first one ended it always called for a sequel and I've been waiting YEARS for it so please let it be true 😭 I'm always so happy when I hear you talk about this movie though because it deserves so so so much more love in my opinion it will always be an underrated gem and I will never understand the hate it gets
“I didn’t love Smile until the end.” So you loved the last scenes. I thought Smile had a cool monster. In that one scene. And everything else was highly derivative and almost entirely reliant on jump scares.
One of my recent rewatches/comfort movies has been I’m Thinking of Ending Things. The first time i watched it, It made no sense to me and i had to watch explanation videos. I also listened to the audiobook before finally deciding to rewatch it. Somehow it gets better and better every time now lol
This is a cool list. I've never really thought about what horror movies I've rewatched the most. I supposed for me some of the ones I've rewatched the most are more because they've just been around longer, like Jaws, The Shining, Poltergeist, the Alien trilogy, or things like Evil Dead 1&2, and the first two Hellraisers (I think these would probably win for THE most). The more modern ones I've rewatched the most, though are probably Cube (probably wins for my most "comfort" horror), The Ring, The Witch, and Level 16. However, some that I just finally bought recently that I know will become very rewatched include The Descent, Last Night in Soho, The Menu, and Train to Busan.
Nice list! I will put a couple of those on my to -watch list! Some of my most rewatched horror movies are: The ring! - ofcourse Scream 1/2/3 The Grudge Saw 1 & 2 House of 9 Jennifer's body
My most rewatched is Ju On, the original Japanese version of The Grudge. Definitely blows the American version out of the water; it’s much more interesting and subtly creepy without being overly dramatic, so an easy rewatch.
That’s ironic since the American Grudge had the SAME Japanese director. But that’s probably because there were many deleted scenes Hollywood wouldn’t use. US is such frady cats. Can’t handle what Japanese horror does. No wonder the original is better
1: MOAR KITTEN 2: You and I are definitely in parallel comfort rewatch universes! You: The Blair Witch 2016, me: You're Next. You: The Decent, me: Dog Soldiers. 🤣 And we're both into the remakes of Sorority Row (Carrie Fisher as my dream house mom!) and 13 Ghosts (Matthew Lillard for the win!)
The original House on Sorority Row is not a great movie; you’re not missing much. 😂 Definitely the Final Destination movies as my most rewatched. They’re so fun!
You got good Taste man! I was only 11 when that movie blew up and tho I didn’t see it back then. I remember all the hype and that was BEFORE social media. Todays kids will never know the impact it had back then. Back when that long hair look was considered new in horror (well atleast in the West, not Japan or Asia) . The panic also got certain video stores shutdown for a while . Not many horror films have impact like that
I hope you are having a great day! I haven’t watched the video yet, I’m waiting until after work as a treat! 🤗 But I already have a few guesses as to what maybe on your list! 🤗🖤🖤
I love to rewatch films, my partner doesn't though :( We have a lot of films we like to rewatch in common! Thirteen Ghosts, Cabin in the woods and Silent Hill are definitely some of my comfort rewatches. More of my comfort rewatches: Coraline, The Craft, Jennifer's body, Carrie, Final Destination 3 and Triangle.
I am a Holly Hartley stan!!! I do remember being disappointed leaving the theater because I wanted more, but it did not and has not stopped me from going back time and time again to watch it. I love it. Also, I don't feel as if your channel as been negative, I like that you're honest about how you feel about the current state of horror. I appreciate it. I also appreciate this video! We have a lot of the same rewatches :)
I watched Thirteen Ghosts for the first time this year! I liked it way better than the original because the original was a William Castle *without* Vincent Price, and Thirteen Ghosts has Matthew Lillard! Which made me realize Matthew Lillard is just Vincent Price for stoners.
Love Silent Hill! Def one of my most re-watched horror movies. Very excited for a new sequel. Also love re-watching The Cell, One Missed Call , The Ring, The Exorcist , The Abyss, Constantine, The Conjuring, Horsemen and The Strangers :) Btw, dog soldiers is a silly, campy werewolf-ish movie. A little gorey. I watched it when I was 13 and it did not traumatize me lol.
My most Re-watched horror movies will be: Cursed (2005) Scream (the whole series) Tales of Halloween (2015) The Ring (2002) I know what you did last summer

I absolutely live the Descent. I'm going to have to go back and watch it. Will also have to give Silent Hill a second watch too.
Mine are:
Skeleton key
House of wax
The ruins
🖤
Mine are like The Descent, Ready or Not, Scream and Raw.
My all-time fav rewatches include The Descent, 13 Ghosts, The Ring, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, and all of the Scream franchise !
Good list. I thumbs up
The Descent is my all-time favorite horror movie and most re-watched, so I'm glad it made the list!
The Decent 100% is my top re-watchable horror!
Dog Soldiers is great! Is it disturbing? I dunno. It's a werewolf movie with a twist. One of my all time faves that's very rewatchable.
“I didn’t love Smile until the end.”
So you loved the last scenes.
I thought Smile had a cool monster. In that one scene. And everything else was highly derivative and almost entirely reliant on jump scares.
Very true. Highly derivative and packed with jump scares.
I love rewatching movies. I prefer it to new ones you don’t have to invest as much attention
Maybe you've already done this but I'd be interested to hear if you gravitate towards movies based on the season or the month
My rewatchables from this list would be The Ring, The Descent, 13 Ghosts, & Sorority Row
Good picks
Descent is absolutely a horror classic. Fantasticalmost perfect movie. So is the Ring-
Amen to both your points. Though I need to watch the Decent only seen clips
3:10 - when the video actually starts (after intro and sponsor)
Nice list! I will put a couple of those on my to -watch list! Some of my most rewatched horror movies are:
The ring! - ofcourse
Scream 1/2/3
The Grudge
Saw 1 & 2
House of 9
Jennifer's body
Huge Ring and Grudge fan. Kayako scared the mess out of me beck then
The Ring is such a beautiful film, I watch it a lot too even though it scared the crap out of me the first time.
Yea todays kids will never know the impact it had back in 2002. I can’t believe Samara is the girl who played Lilo
1: MOAR KITTEN
2: You and I are definitely in parallel comfort rewatch universes! You: The Blair Witch 2016, me: You're Next. You: The Decent, me: Dog Soldiers. 🤣
And we're both into the remakes of Sorority Row (Carrie Fisher as my dream house mom!) and 13 Ghosts (Matthew Lillard for the win!)
The original House on Sorority Row is not a great movie; you’re not missing much. 😂
Definitely the Final Destination movies as my most rewatched. They’re so fun!
Awww man, I love the original!
Been watching your channel for some time....because of the reviews of movies to talk about I havre Been able to increase my collection
“THE RING” (2002) is also my favorite horror movie of all time.
You got good
Taste man!
My favorite rewatches would be the ring and shutter !!
Oh yah and you mean the original THAI Shutter right? That kills the American version lol
Gore Verbinski also made the first 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies
Ok so Pirates and the Ring are my top favorites from him!
Wow your list is packed with classic films
sorority row will forever be my comfort movie 🥰😇
My most Re-watched horror movies will be:
Cursed (2005)
Scream (the whole series)
Tales of Halloween (2015)
The Ring (2002)
I know what you did last summer
