Hi Beau - here is an image that makes it really nice and clear: rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/275608-feeler-post-lift-bars-2.html If this still isn’t clear enough, Pelican Parts also has a couple of articles that show you what to avoid - false or deceptive points on the car that look like they should be jacking or stand points but are not.
That’s a frustration! A quick few questions: Is one pad - usually the inner pad - more worn than the other? When was the last time the pads were changed? Are there any visible signs of corrosion or buildup anywhere? Do you know how old the lines are?
@@GTArmstrong pads actually look brand new and lines don’t look bad! I’ve sprayed everything down with brake clean and will spray everything with a good penetrating oil. Hopefully it will break free
Yes, let’s see what that does - just be sure to clean the pads and disk/rotor surfaces thoroughly after! If this doesn’t offer results, it may be a stuck piston - not too difficult to deal with either, care just needs to be taken with the seal that supports it.
Nicely done Gareth
Thanks Nildo - it's a quick and easy job, but I'm glad I know how to do it myself...I really don't like the idea of being dependant on others.
Beautiful gold 944
Thank you very much - she needs quite a lot of work, but it's a pleasure to be doing it.
Glad this is fixed.
Me too - relief it wasn’t out in the road that I realised it was needed…so I need to sort out these sensor issues.
Great job
Thank you, Bobbie!
Where would you put the jack stands if you were trying to get all 4 wheels off the ground? I’ve been having trouble finding a good spot.

How do you know if the sensor needs replacing?
Hi Dan - I’ve ordered two new ones so will do a comparison when they arrive.
