Chase Young just "feels" like he's not part of the team yet. I think you nailed it. He seems like he's out there doing whatever he wants rather than working as a unit.

He wants to get sacks to get a bigger contract. Maybe that's why he neglects setting the edge. Given his physical attributes he should be destroying people, but his motor is too often lacking and his poor positional discipline hurts the defense.

Chase Young was drafted #2. He has come NOWHERE near meeting his draft status. He's, at best, just average. We should not resign him.

@@Draconisrex1 I agree. Especially with Aiyuk's contract coming up. If you're not one of the key players, which Chase is not, then sayonara.

I get angry watching Chase Young play! He is doing nothing but taking up space. He can't even get off his blocks! I've not seen him do anything great since we acquired him. Nothing!

I feel much better about the Run D now. I can see how most of the damage was from guys trying to be Superman, instead of just being part of the Avengers.

They can't have Ryan out there again, can they? He seemed very uninterested in competing consistently against the Pacers. Brown at least gives you effort and is a better ball hawk.

What about ambry Thomas ? They have to get dude some help cuz he’s gonna be a target against the lions. He probably played his worst game ever

    • @vnrjn8
      @vnrjn8 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@Soleprofit559 At the very least Steve Wilks has to settle him downs and coach up Abry's technique. Ambry seems to lose sight of the ball once he looks back for it over the shoulder. When that happens he panics and gets very grabby. I'm not a coach but I imagine this happens to young CBs a lot so I imagine Wilks can help. Second, Wilks has to reinforce AT's 1-on-1 tackling technique because if AB makes a bad cover play it affects his overall confidence which impacts his tackling.
KS does not like to play rookies, but AT will tested early and if he gets burned they may have to make an in-game substitution. Problem is that the vet Isaiah Oliver is not a great cover guy, either. All that being said, if the line can hit/pressure Goff, they may be able to help all the DBs.

And it is really great to laugh along with you when you’re pointing out the foibles of others happening with or away from the ball.

Love your videos. You always provide insightful analysis and reveal things that usually escape the attention of casual viewers. You are quite right about Ambry Thomas. I honestly think the DC should consider starting someone else or at least be willing to sub him out if he starts off poorly. Thomas is streaky and when he loses confidence he becomes a huge liability: a long PI call waiting to happen or a missed arm tackle for a long gain around the end.
Young's free-lancing could be fatal against Detroit. If it hasn't been coached out of him by now it likely never will, and he'll become a journeyman I would move pieces along the line depending on down and distance. Maybe only play him on the end on obvious long passing downs, and otherwise play him on the inside where he can roam a bit less. It's tricky but the DC has moved both Young and Bosa inside at times to good effect.

Kinlaw is playing much better this season, particularly later in the season. His pad level is better, his technique is better, he's coming off blocks and making plays in the run game. Big improvement this year due to health and therefore a lot more reps in practices and games.

If you carefully watch, most of their big plays during the game were because of 49ers slipping. I don't understand why they didn't wear the long-cleats. Just because they're not at The Stick any more doesn't mean you'll have great footing when it rains. Green Bay didn't have this problem nearly as much as the 49ers. I think someone needs to talk to the equipment manager AND the players.

Fred Warner was actually the one that overran Jones run. He needed to stay to Dre’s left and plug the hole. Of course Logan made it even worse by not having Fred’s back. I hope Brown gets back in there cause he’s way better than Logan.
But I expect better from the unanimous all pro. There are times that you can’t tackle high against good RB’s. He needed to take space away by attacking the RB’s lower legs. That was one of those times.

Logan Ryan seems like he want no part of this at this stage in his life. We have defensive issues: safety, Ambry Thomas and edge setter on the dline. Carlin Ferrel was a big loss. Wonder if Beal can help? They better wake up on run defense because Detroit will test it early and often. They will run it and throw it towards ambry, run it throw to ambry and repeat

Lafleur owned Wilks especially the early scripted plays. Imagine a vision in which Ryan and Thomas are starters. I also understand how we got Young cheap. He needs to step it up. This D can be elite, but its coordinator is not up to front 7 talent.

Kris Kocurek the niners d line coach gotta get on bosa and chases ass, he’s too soft on them because they are the star players. Bosa and chase, after the ball goes pass them, just walks to where the ball is going with no effort, expecting everyone to make the play for them. That’s unacceptable in the playoffs. Also he needs to coach young better, Kris has coached great d lineman on this niners team for the past years. Chase has a high ceiling but is just undisciplined. Niners are missing hufanga a lot, he would’ve never miss those easy open tackles, he’s not scared of no rb running straight at him.

NINERS have problems with rainy games you add 2 weeks off and rain not good for the 49ers..This game went to show you that if your team is better than their team you will find a way to win..Love had 2 interceptions and did'nt throw for 200 yards but nobody is talking about how bad he played..With the way the weather was vs Green Bay it favored a hot Packer team coming in with all the momentum in the world but when the NINERS defense had to make a stop they did unless they fell down..On a nice day it would have been a better NINER team out there..The bottom line is Brock took the NINERS down field with 4 minutes left and the NINERS did their job...The NINER EMPIRE expects a much better game from the NINERS this week vs Detroit who will be missing their LT and a banged up C nobody gives the 49ers defense credit unless they get 5 sacks a game..There's times the D-Line just stays at home filling the gaps so the QB don't run overall yes the NINERS played bad but they got the dub and that's all that counts..What will everyone cry about if the NINERS beat the Lions by 20??? There's always someone gonna say something negative..Like the NINERS players say just line them up 1 week at a time and it does'nt matter who they play..

He had 5 knockdowns and LeFleur had a game plan to keep Love getting the ball out.
Also Wilks like a less balls out edge rush with mobile QBs. Goff is not mobile so they should get some sacks
