What really happened to Jehovah Witnesses in Norway?

- Jehovah's Witnesses in Norway won in the supreme court in a case regarding the legality of disfellowshipping. But the governing body did not share this on JW.org
Would not a victory in the supreme court be a encouraging experience to share with the publishers?
Instead Tony Morris and Jørgen Pedersen claim that Jehovah's Witnessesare persecuted and the government want to stop them from shunning?
In this case, one could argue that both things are true at the same time.
The supreme court (1)dont want to micromanage the Watchtower religion, while (2) the government no longer want to give money to any religion that violates the human rights and the rights of a child.
But were do the Watchtower Lobby organisation come into this picture, and why is it ok for Watchtower to be asociated with OSCD but not the UN?
And why would Jehovah Witnesses take group pictures in 1943 if they really were persecuted by Gestapo? Would you show you face on a picture during ww2 if this was a illegal gathering.

Great commentary on the basis for this removal of loopholes in the law to prevent a religion abusing religious rights which is not persecution. Earlier last year I wanted to rally prominent exJW TH-camrs to produce a campaign that was laser focused at educating the relevant secular/political circles. Hardly anyone even responded to the email but those who did said it was a good idea. What nobody seemed to understand was that we need all of us to unite to form a metaphorical battering ram. Together we could make a huge difference. But I'd be naive to think that it's just that easy to get all exJWs united for a single cause. Idk. Maybe some political activists and political scientists are needed for this task. I'm just so happy you have the gumption and the fortitude to get the truth out!

It looked like the JW won a case over the subsidicing in the Supreme Court, which I tough odd because the announcement over the money was made just recent and it takes more time to climd the justical ladder.
But basicly the Supreme Court confirmed the blaming of the victim.

The supreme court said that they would not undo a disfellowshipping decision. Another branch of government said that they no longer can recieve funding due to their violation of Trossamfunnsloven § 6. So JW can still worship and disfellowshipp freely. Its just that taxpayers money can not fund violations of human rights.

I was recently watching a documentary about how the Tirpitz used chlorosulphuric acid to make smoke camouflage to hide from bombing… and the trees in Norway are still suffering from it.
By making these issues a court case, it would serve the added benefit of making the public aware of their practices. JWs have become part of Babylon the Great.

I don't know any woman that "preaches" that subject, and the only women I've seen, do it along side a man, like they can't speak for themselves. I am so glad the government in Norway have removed the funds. Is there room for a family from Norway's Twin Nation - Scotland 😊- I might need to wait for EFTA or EEC or indy in Scotland and rejoin EU to get EFTA - all very confusing. I could come next year to live as I will have a degree by then, but I don't know how immigrating my family would work. Norway is awesome. I have few friends there 😊

The problem with watchtower witnesses is when Jesus said if you love me the world will hate you. They dont present that as people in drugs and sex, but simply anyone not WatchTower witness. Then they teach you that YOU can judge who is a witness (and so persons do this to their own blame) but then they hide that they as elders themselves tell you who is good and who is bad. They choose 77-year old Esau like 137-year old Isaac did. And it takes a woman like my JW mother Rebecca to dress her son up and give him soup to give to dad. Elders are ruled by their belly and what they get free. I remember home alone an a judicial Elder came by and said it is customary to offer something like wine when an elder comes. Well i dont dare offer my parents liquor so i told them the truth, we have milk in the fridge? No thanx he said and felt i had to learn christian ethics.
Jehovah's heavenly chariot travels like lightning - and we sinful physical humans must keep up with it!!! Get your skates on! Older ones don't forget to oil your wheelchairs! There is more highly accurate spiritual food like this to come. Keep your ears open for it as we flash past!

Anthony Morris knows that hardcore JWs wouldn't care about verifying what he said& would believe whatever came from 'them', unconditionally. It is a good example of the "power" Watchtower has over it members.
I am a Ukrainian nurse. I live in Germany. Had the "happiness" to communicate with a member of the Russian Assembly JW in Oslo (Norway). So, this Estonian Miliana was cursing like a shoemaker... I have never seen anything like this in German congregations.

СИ из Германии никогда не уклонялись от проповеди, никогда не были беженцами (как старейшина в Осло и др.), не матерились, как видные члены Собрания, не заказывали украинцам в Украине подарки, не обещали набить морду гражданам Украины, уже живущим в Норвегии (те жаловались, т к СИ не поделили удочку на рыбалке с крымчанами), не заказывали представителям ЛГБТ вино для празднования Дня Рождения, не позволяли делать себе массаж в голом виде голыми норвежцами , не имели 2 гражданства- русского и украинского (с предоставлением им и третьего- ВНЖ по беженству из РФ в Норвегии, но ведь в Украине никто СИ не пресследует, а оплата гос пошлины не ведет к утрате укр. паспорта, как бы этого не хотелось и какие бы заявления о выходе из гражданства не писались бы), не препятствовали украинцам в изучении Библии (что интересно, открытым геям (десятки СМИ о допускаемых в Собрание Осло геях) в русском Собрании были рады и им не препятствовали в участии в Собрании) и старейшина им лично даже поручал препятствовать украинцам в изучении Библии с русским Собранием Осло и многое другое.... Разумеется те, кто обличал СИ из Германии в отступничестве прибыли из столицы фейковых СИ - Воронежа))) Одну такую беженку - " Свидетельницу Иеговы" раскололо само норвежское Собрание в Ставангере и она срочно думала переехать оттуда дальше на просторы Норвегии...

Sadly, I can see that the governing body is going to say that since they won in the Norwegian supreme court, then disfellowshipping must be legally permitted in Norway as a religious right and freedom. It is unfortunate that the supreme court did not take the position that shunning a victim violated her legal rights. The cult is sneaky.
You know it’s a blessing in disguise when people get disfellowshipped. If the Bible is true then being a JW will not bring you salvation. I hope that poor woman finds Jesus and a church to belong to that will show her love.
On quora its asked do JWs give bibles free. My reply was. The bibles were free only to the cost and expense of the person who gave it. At the Hall you would have to buy your books and then give them to other people by asking for donation and when you got nothing, the cost or loss was yours. (Gee just like 1960s buying pots and then trying to sell them.) Thus as a printing facility some my feel its a scam or cultish to oblige or guilt-trip masses into paying for books (not only books for themselves, but) to hopefully get some cost back on the books you gave to others (hopefully they read them, but many boasted they take and trash them). It wasnt WT that lost millions in dollars in this method, but the members lose their money when YOU trash the books and mags. But its not a forced tithing, it is your option based on your feelings of guilt (as if that proves your joy in doing this for the world of people). I know often others would use their partners books and would be told then walking to the next house, how about getting your own books instead of “placing” mine i have to pay for.
