the first circuit in this video is perfect for a quick easy small speaker for testing harmonics. Certainly not suitable for music, but perfect for testing frequencies.

I am impressed. I found a small usb audio unit smashed out of a speaker system. I wired it up with 5v and a small computer speaker and could just hear a sound. I used the first amp shown here, wired a similar npn transistor (a BC107b) with an electrolytic capacitor, the + end to the base. I am now listening to music I downloaded from utube onto a memory stick and it is loud enough to need a pot to turn it down. Thanks ABTabi you should be proud of yourself.

I somehow blew out my daughters power wheels radio trying to do this ... any idea what I did wrong ? I used +and- from radio as audio in and hooked +and negative leads from 18v milwakee battery wich I assume would be the problem however the radio was previously running on same battery to begin with?
They're both connected to the same battery then there's common ground or negative and it probably fried it through there I had the same thing happen to me on it different kind of device but it was for my motorcycle

I have a cuckoo clock melody circuit that is connected to the 8ohm 0.5w speaker and I want to replace it with the 8ohm 1w speaker. When I connected it the output was not that much great as the 0.5w speaker. What will change do I need to do?
