The Habs will be in the Playoffs when Laine gets a decent linemate in the 5v5 (it might be Deminov or smth). Laine made beautiful end-to-end solo goals in McDavid-style in Columbus but he would need more time to get his cardio back etc (the 1 year off was quite damaging).
Demidov i project 23 goals 38 assists for 61 points in 68 games throughout his rookie season with the Habs. Hes a special player with a lot of talent. Will play in our top 6. Possibly with Suzuki + Caufield. Push us to be a 40+ win 90+ point team. Not to mention Hutson will he set for a even better year offensively. I say he as well cracks the 70 point club with 72 points in 76 games. With 9 goals 63 assists. I get these are big numbers that us as Habs fans might not be used to seeing, and you might not believe this could happen. You might look at Bedard and say he had 61 points in 68 games, but he was a year younger. On a much worse team. And also had no pro experience. Demidov is playing with and against pros. Former NHL players and NHL caliber talent. He's playing just over 10 minutes a game with SKA. And is still on pace for 49 points if Russia did 82 game seasons. That's almost 50 points in a near NHL level league playing 10 minutes a night. If you doubled his ice time to a more realistic 20 like what he will be playing in NHL, that would be 98 points in an 82 game season. I'm not saying Demidov will jump into NHL with 100 points. It just shows the potential is there. I think he shows all the tools to do it. It will just take him some time I estimate 2 years for him to get to that level on North American ice. But I think he will adjust smoothly. In terms of points. I think he will surpass Michkovs rookie season. However I don't believe he will score more goals then Michkov. He's a basically perfect 6'1 200 pound frame which is the perfect balance of big frame and also small to be shifty and quick. He will be a top player in the NHL. Lane Hutson. Well I think he has no reason not to take that step if he stays healthy. He's shown consistent high level offense throughout over 30 games in the NHL. He's also seemingly adjusted perfectly towards a defenseman capable of playing 23+ minutes a game. Not to mention just natural improvement as he gets older. He will be faster. More knowledged on how to attack NHL competition, and have better teammates around him.
He is much safer just standing in the circle and taking one timers on the P.P...I have yet to see Laine split the Defense and make a tactical move to score. St.Loser won't establish a POWER LINE ..he splits up the small guys with the larger ones....would like to see Dach, Anderson and Evans on the same line.
Comes down to actual high end talent, when the suzuki line is the habs 2nd line, they will be a contender. If laine continues to progress and resigns, then have demidov on his wing, that is the best 2 wingers talent wise the habs have had in decades. Laine won't be fully back until next year IMO
Why would Matheison go in front of the net next to his team mate instead of taking the man ? He still needs better coaching and more time....Montreal needs a " Power line " and why Anderson isn't put next to bigger forwards to smash up other teams boggles the mind. Gallaher wit Carrier on te Anderson line ?..weird
@@HockeyNationLiveShow Why should i be happy abut one game ? Imagine going to work and never doing a good job, then once or twice a month completing my task, expecting people to praise me while getting paid millions of dollars ? That my friend, is really sad. I mentioned to you when Laine was going to the Has before he got hurt , his best spot was going to be in the face off circle one timing goals. I also mentioned that Anderson better not get traded much to the chagrin of your viewers , and that Suzuki is NOT a Captain , and a veteran should get the " C "..I still stand on that because Montreal has no leadership. All you guys do is fantasize about Demidov...that's also sad.
Thanks for these Coach…I look forward to watching them every day.
Thank you so much Roger

Yep. I wanted Laine in Boston.
Ya want to trade?
😀
Thanks Rainn... He has a great start
Glad to see the Habs finally getting a good player on the team… Laine is miles better than Suzuki and Caufield

Take a Finn, if you want to win. You haven’t forgotten your great Captain Saku Koivu, Habs?

The more no hit games that are played the better Patrick Laine will look

Stop whining (I DON'T need to see your face) and let Patrick score goals.
