    Wow. Laine only has a sprained knee. This was better then what I thought the best case scenario was. Which was a dislocation. It must be a very ruff bruise for it to be multiple months still. However this means our playoff hopes arent completely gone. If we jumpout to a start like we had last season i think its possible

    Laine will see first hand the 1st class organization the Habs are. Most likey we won't see him till after Xmas break. Marty will keep Laine involved witb the team during recovery. Habs will grow together and be ready to make a run in the new year.

    PS…this is preseason which really is not predictive of regular season performance. Experienced players know this and use preseason to fine tune timing and line cohesion. I wish Laine remembered this and avoided high risk plays like going between two players…not blaming him, but he increased risk…was he feeling too much pressure to perform quickly?

    Love your dailies Coach and congratulations on making so many and being so informative and organized. I hope the HABS do exceed expectations but I worry that again the first line will be the key to winning against the HABS…STOP THEM AND THE OTHER LINES DO NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH OFFENCE. This makes them too vulnerable. Hoping for the best

      @@HockeyNationLiveShow Thanks Coach! Pleased to see Marty playing a bigger and tougher lineup against the Sens since they are a gritty team. There won't be any cheap shots by Sens tonight as I am certain Habs will be playing with an edge after the last game. Marty putting Arber in the lineup confirms he had no problem with what happened the other night . Also pleased to see Hutson out of the lineup. It will be a very long season for him so no need to play in the last two pre-season games.

      @@enortap Professore @Enortap 3% plus ? Seems a bit to very optimistic! Who is the shooter on that line ? Remember Dach was playing wing 2 years ago before he was hurt in 22-23 now I assume he’d be playing in the middle.

    • @HockeyNationLiveShow
      @HockeyNationLiveShow 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Roy's power play percentage has shown steady improvement over the years: 2021-22: 13.3% 2022-23: 16.1% 2023-24: 17.5% You can clearly see the progress year after year. Dach also contributed significantly, with 16 power play points out of his 38 total points in just 58 games, making a strong impact on the PP unit. Hutson is poised to become the new power play quarterback soon, which will be another major boost. Goaltending has nothing to do with their power play struggles. In fact, their goalie situation is solid-their goalie pipeline ranks #6 in the NHL, so there’s no need to chase a number one goalie. The real improvement in the power play will come from players like Caufield, Suzuki, and Slafkovský working together. Thanks for your comment!

      From 55 points to 68 points to 76 points… Why label him a bad coach? He’s working with a rebuilding team. Out of all the teams in rebuild mode, his is the only one consistently improving-first by +13 points, then by +8 points in the standings. Overall, he's done a solid job. Can you name a single young player who has regressed under MSL? Thanks for your comment!

  • @galkanftw
    @galkanftw 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    First line is clicking ...lmao. Suzuki -14 DOWN from his previous -13. Slafkovsky -19 DOWN from his previous -13 albeit that was half a season. Caufield -4 "a magician IDK how he managed only minus 4".He must be hopping over the boards instead of back checking. So Minus 4/14/19 and people act like they had success what did I hear TOP 5 first line LMAO. There is ZERO risk to try players at different positions defense playing the off side we have nothing to lose this is NOT a playoff team. What I expect to happen all year long every time we win a game "PLAYOFFS" then we lose and people come back down to earth. So WHY do I keep hearing have PATIENCE but then why is everyone acting like this season is panic mode we MUST do this must do that we need a RW a LW a Center who plays where it does NOT matter this team is still in a rebuild. So somehow in a very short time the manager the coach and many fans have dumped off the rebuild idea and think we are ready NOW.

    • @enortap
      @enortap 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @galkanftw Not sure only using +/- is the statistical category that I would use to gauge whether a top line is a top line. You'll find all rebuilding teams +/- will be negative in the early year stages, otherwise they wouldn't be bottom dwellers. There are many other factors to consider while making this determination in all fairness. Using their Corsi numbers is probably more comprehensive and since last years all-star break, Suzuki was 54.9%, CC was 52.7% and Slaf was 53.5%. To me this definitely showed promise going into this year and hence why I used the word "clicking". I do believe that their point production was good and that this will increase this year especially if they continue to play together and continue to build chemistry together. If other line combos fail then you might be correct to try different possibilities but for now if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Thank you for your comments.

    • @HockeyNationLiveShow
      @HockeyNationLiveShow 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Check out Enortap’s comment. When Slafkovsky joined the first line, they became the 8th best line in the NHL. So, you’re saying they lack chemistry? Now, look at Tampa’s stats: Kucherov is +8 with 144 points, Point is -16 with 46 goals and 90 points, and Stamkos is -21. Can you explain that to me?

  • @FooFahFoeFum
    @FooFahFoeFum 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    I have been saying this for the past ten years. The Habs are soft. The Habs management believes in CONCEPTS, tactics, family atmosphere, teaching and team spirit. The Habs need 2 guys that like to body-check and ARE intimidators. Dach, Slavkosky Laine, Savard are big but play soft and small. We need guys 23-30 year olds FORWARDS, I REPEAT FORWARDS that are over 6'-2" / 210 pounds and hit/bodycheck often. Habs management does not consider grit and sandpaper as important and valuable as a skill and asset in their FORWARDS ,,,,,... This is their biggest mistake. ................. In 2020 Ovechkin 6'-3" 230 pounds had more hits = 6.89 per 60 minutes, than ((Mathews 1.21 + Marner 1.17 + Tavares 1.68 + Nylander 0.81 = 4.87) )..... MTL mgmt does not understand that a player 6-2/210 pound with 25 goals and (10.0 hits per 60 minutes on the ice) ......... is more valuable than a 5-7/175 pound FOURTY goal scorer and (2 hits per 60 minutes played on the ice) played. IMO every team needs two large, heavy SANDPAPER players in the top 6 FORWARDS. ... I would take Brady Tkuchuck any day over Slavkosky or Laine or Mathews ... these guys have skill but are soft and need to be protected by 20-25 goal scoring bull dogs. ... In the NHL playoffs, size with intimidation wins. In the NHL playoffs, skill and size without hitting/bodychecking does not work.

    • @HockeyNationLiveShow
      @HockeyNationLiveShow 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for your comment, but finding a player like Tkachuk isn’t easy. Look at Tampa when they won their Stanley Cup-how many physical players did they have in their top six? Same with Colorado when they won-who was their physical presence in the top six? Vegas just won their Cup, and again, which top-six player was overly physical? Your point is valid, but the Habs will address what’s missing when the time comes. For now, they’re building towards what they need.

Need at least 2 others that can handle this sort of thing and yet be able to play hockey just like Arber. Canadiens "must keep Arber for a very long time". He is the first player who can take care of business since Chris Nilan.

Said it about Dach, Demidov... Btw, if Pezzetta had of been playing Saturday night, he would of stepped up. If Slaf's gonna fight he'd best be learning how to fight and protect himself, he took a hard blow to the head, not good.
