  • Hey everyone! Welcome back to my channel. Today, we're diving into a classic 80s hit that needs no introduction - "Your Love" by The Outfield. Now, I've heard this song countless times on the radio, but it's been a while since I've really listened to it. So, I'm super excited to react to it again and share my thoughts with you.

I seriously live and breathe The Outfield. I have even collected the lyrics to every song John Spinks wrote. 180+

I am the same. Always felt like I was an outsider. Everyone knew this song but I knew every song and I never understood why nobody else did. LOL

I met these guys one night, at a one-off show, in Indianapolis, IN, while they were on tour with Mike & The Mechanics.
The drummer was quite nice. The guitarist was an arrogant ass.
The lead singer was one of the nicest guys I've ever met in all my years in the music biz; he knew his brogue was so thick that I'd have difficulty understanding, yet was very accommodating about repeating himself so I could understand. A true gentleman.
Sad to learn he'd passed, a few years back.

    Thanks for doing this one!
The 80's is one most favorite decades of music!
This song was incredulously huge back in the day.
I assumed this would have big in the UK as well.
Youre right, the music, lyrics and vibes absolutely scream 80s!😁
I loved the pure joy on your face!😊

The Outfield is from England, so I assume they had success there.

Probably one of my all time favorite bands... as in all time... not just the 80s. Very rarely have I owned every album and know every song of a band. This song and album shot so far up so fast, much like Boston's debut album in '76 that the music industry held it there and never let them go further. They signed with MCA which was a huge mistake. One of my all time favorite songs of theirs is Rainbow's End. It's a top down, drive the coast jam. Tonight You're Mine if you are looking for a tune to dance to with your bride on your wedding night. All the Love in the World from the debut album. Playground and Burnin' Blue are a mood. Love love love The Night Ain't Over. I could go on. LOL It's hard to find anyone who literally has never heard this song before so it was fun to watch ya. Thanks for bringing me back.

I had no idea what the song was from the title or name of the group. But as soon as the song began I recognized it.

We had Take On Me, and Sweet Child O' Mine in the 80s. But, I think this is my favorite of them all.

Painter girl in this video looks like the girl in the Take On Me video. And both songs came out in 1985.

This song came out in 1985 and the painter girl in the video looks like the same girl in Ah-Ha's Take On Me witch came out the same year 1985.

They had a follow-up single but they were virtually a one-hit wonder, at least here in the U.S.

Actually many top 40 hits on Billboard - Everytime You Cry, All The Love In The World, Since You've Been Gone, Voices of Babylon, For You and Closer To Me. Then AOR hits Say It Isn't So, My Paradise, Winning It All and from their last Album Replay, California Sun.

    • @SWLinPHX

@@jodyserner1229 Actually true, they did have a total of eight Hot 100 hits, five of which made the Top 40. I guess I don't remember all of them.
