Before we panic, there are two possible wildcards that don't typically show up in long term models: 1) Mid level smoke plumes spreading into more of California and inhibiting extreme heat. 2) Monsoonal flow expanding into Central California, sometimes happens without warning when temps approach 110
Of course this ridge has to arrive right around the holiday. Not looking forward to the heat but at least we're not Arizona. Wish we got monsoon storms though
That cumulus buildup on the Nevada border could be from the Pizona fire. The smoke was going straight up. Very smoky in the Owens Valley in the late afternoon.
Ugh! Not looking forward to the upcoming heat blast next week here in SoCal. I miss the winter rains and cool temps. Thanks for keeping us abreast of what’s headed our way Michael even though I’m dreading it.
Sounds wretched. I’ll get my fans set up, put out the gel mat for the dog, get some electrolytes stocked for me, shade cloths set up for my garden. Thanks for the warning🥵
The 4rth is our big day. There is no need to predict anything further. Enoch returned 2017, and the tribulations are almost over. "Won't see em again till the 4th of July." Judement Day is almost here.
Look at the upper left corner coloration @ 4:01... hot colors... what are the temps? Sub-60˚F! 57˚F. This is an example of data visualization manipulation. You should ALWAYS include a legend and you should not be passing along a false narrative.
Next Sunday Anderson California 124! World record 134 at Furnace Ranch in Death Valley…. We need a cave….
😎

I see that the heat has already severely affected your brain.
Looks like 110+ for 4-5 days in a row up in Redding. I would be surprised to see 115 a couple days. Thanks for the warning Michael
