1. Today main issue is not making, issues is not release but issue iS pre-movie publicity, Screens booked and the profitability,
main REGULAR producers have money and backup so even if 3 are semi flops from 10, it averages out just like SIP.
But one time exciting producer loose money after 1 movie.
2. Same thing happens with Short Film Makers / small OTT Players also, they just burn money to make their portfolio, or dream of getting bigger projects.
The industry works on Dreams :)
3. Also i have felt that most scripts are bad > and further converting it to screenplay > makes its worst
SPEND MONEY IN GOOD SCRIPT, DIALOGUE WRITER AND SCREENPLAY, and story board
once these are good, the chances of saving time, money, effort and final output is better.
4. As 1st time producer there is continuous mental fight between DOP & DIRECTOR, giving negativity to whole production.
Many time director is a friend / relative of the producer who is not efficient enough to direct the DOP team, and DOP takes a ride :)
if above situation is gonna happen, before hand
FIND AN AMAZING LINE PRODUCER AND 1ST AD TO SAVE YOUR LIFE ON BUDGET :)
