Hi Kalyan, Thanks a Lot for giving me a flashback I badly needed after so many yrs.after leaving Amchi Mumbai in 94.. I've seen this Yazdani bakery at Cawasji Patel St..I think most of the Irani hotels are now closed or the verge of closing. My Favourite was the Noble & Gulshan Irani in Matunga which had converted to Chinese..The one at Aurora theatre Blitz Irani had converted it to Udupi style then itself removing the Round Wooden chairs & Marble Tables..Here in Hyderabad also the one in our locality had sold out,,
Way back in 1987, used to catch a beer and some food with fried bangda at Harish Lunch Home near Strand book store, both the book store and the restaurant were owned by Shettys. Pancham Pooriwala, I last visited in 1985. Oh, nostalgic memories!
Yes and no. For me it's nostalgia but Cafe Benazir and further down the Cremola snack joint? All four - Zend, Pervez, Nazir and Shreyar are friends of min . Sheriyar was Mr Bombay and Zend used to be a gooc boxer with a deacly punch. Thanks for the review
Once I used lunch everyday at swagat or Moti. If lunch at swagat than jalebi opposite to it. Once a week at ideal corner. And sometimes Yoko sizzlers. I am missing those days. Because we moved to Andheri in 2015.😭
Thanks for posting such an amazing video. Never had the time to explore these amazing restaurants mentioned by you despite working in fort area. September 2017 onwards the food expedition begins to taste the entire food gamut showcased by you in your video.
