Yeah to be honest at first I wasn’t hyped about the song. I just loved Suho and Chen’s breakdown after more time it had really grown on me.
Loved it the first time, actually obsessed with it by now. My fav songs are Obsession, Trouble, Jekyll, and Ya Ya Ya
Like all their discography... they become better by each listen. So I add them to the playlist with songs from Universe, Dmumt, Kokobop, ...

Y’all should definitely get into more exo vids especially Call me Baby, Love Me Right, Overdoese, growl, etc. And get into their lives as well! They’re such a talented, humble group of guys and their music has so much r&b presence (as I’m sure you heard in the album)

Tbh there was so much to absorb from the visuals that it's okay to listen to the song before. At least they don't pause in the wrong places and miss important stuff like other reactors.
It was only Dame who heard the song before. Bang Bang & Ace hadn't heard it before.

They're not Zombies LOL The whole concept is EXO are the good guys in black and X-EXO with the colorful outfits and weird makeup and contacts are their alter egos or clones that have been created by the Red Force. If you notice in the MV, each of the members are battling themselves. So what you saw in the "Obsession" MV was that their doppelgangers were actually clones and they were using their superpowers, such as Chanyeoul with his fire power, to fight their other selves.
You see Sehun with the power to control wind shoot his X-EXO clone with the bow and arrow and his clone uses wind power to throw the arrows back at him or Suho in the room with the images of water on the walls being drown as his clone uses the power of water to make the paintings come alive, etc. And if you watch the MV to the very end, you see the planet on fire because its supposed to show how the world is coming to an end as EXO and X-EXO battle for control, etc.The story in this MV is the latest installment of their epic story that has been playing out over the past 7+ years and its only a piece of EXO's larger storyline.

Some youtubers were interested in finding out the storyline, only to end up confused about the EXO DEUX concept. Don't know what's so confusing about it, this is probably the most straightforward concept they've ever had and it's so much fun hahahahahahha

FINALLY !!! I have been waiting for your reaction. From the look and sound of your reaction video Ryan Reynolds isn’t the only new member of EXO. I love the song, I love the album, and what’s not to love about EXO - Baekhyun fencing with X - EXO Baekhyun. They aren’t zombies or demons they’re clones. You have to watch and hopefully react to one of the live performances the choreo is insane. And less not forget other than to take a breath they sing live rather than lip sync.

Also, since we‘re already talking about your top 10 lists for this year: before you do them, you have to check out Why by ONF!! The mv is seriously more like a movie; interesting storyline and insane cinematography and cgi. And the song isn’t any less phenomenal.

The current six members Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai and Sehun have made a group comeback before their leader Suho has to enlist at the end of the year following Baekhyun, Chen and Chanyeol enlistments sometime within next year. That leaves the two youngest members Kai & Sehun to work on duo and solo projects on top of kai being part of SuperM unless they decide to enlist early like their group member D.O did beginning of this past year. My biases are Kai, Baekhyun, Lay and Sehun but I love & support the whole 0T9 EXO group. The more I watch it, the concept and lyrics gives me lotto and monster era feels about a "Man's obsession with his lover"....especially in the beginning when it says "Oh I want you". After listening to the digital album, I was obsessed with it before it even came out and I couldn't wait. it's the title track of EXO's 6th album with the same name. This song brings trap bass blend with synthwave and jazzy accapella influences similar to their 2018 track "Tempo" with a vocal refrain running throughout the song. Lyric-wise it comes as a warning toward an ex-lover or friend, corrupt media, SAESANGS and Anti-fans to stay away avoiding entitlement which is a constant issue among the kpop community. The track was released with an MV that fits their album wide storyline as a whole, they are shown fighting Red Force clones of themselves (their innerselves) which don't seem to share the same superpowers as the members and the way use the clones to respond back is cool.

The only three actually fighting are Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Sehun but the other three aren't

You brought up so many great points about the mv style and the music production and the fact that they did this whilst having so many other projects ongoing in 2019. Yes this is an excellent comeback. Amazing song. Amazing video, amazing concept, amazing group. It's December now so it definitely has to make your top ten songs and videos of 2019. EXO said we have 3 members missing, no problem, we will come back harder and more different than you ever expected. It just goes to show how much strength and versatility EXO have. Such a great way to round off 2019.
As their fan i am torn between EXO and X-exo, i like X-EXO because they are evil but lit!!! but i love my boys EXO! my favorite b-side track on the album is YA YA YA i cant stop listening to it!

Main producer for Obsession is Dem Jointz. Look him up. He has produced many hits for artists such as Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Jording Sparks, Chris Brown, and Brandy. He also co-produced 4 tracks on "Compton", the final studio album by Dr. Dre, as well as several tracks on Janet Jackson's 2015 #1 album "Unbreakable". Other k-pop songs he worked on are Taeyeon "Something new", NCT 127 "Cherry bomb" and Red Velvet Dont U Wait No More.
