isuzu dmax is my most favorite of all pickups. i've seen its power and durability, capable of bringing it everywhere with no hesitation. loud noise was nothing for me coz i know that these noise means power even in heavy loads.
We drove one of these when working for a company, very reliable but the engine when cold is freaking noisy, it's like a tractor when it warms up the noise reduces a lot
Thats the only downside of it, noisy,and the emission regulation standards but for toughness and reliability dmax ls is one of d best, and japanese engines are really good.😉😉
even tho d-max is a bit noisy and old looking, it's still the best choice. very durable and reliable on toughest uses. i've test driven other pick-ups except the ranger and bt-50. very fuel efficient unlike navara. high quality interiors unlike the crappy materials used in strada. even an employee(relative) of mitsubishi warned us of it's durability. high powered engine, not like the hilux's(experience). don't trust auto review websites and mags. they're biased as hell! test drive them instead.
Your engine belt needs greasing adding up to the diesel noise. Otherwise good review. 2009 with only 61k odometer means seldom driven. Paint still looks pristine! Reverse sound quite annoying.
:/ My Reverse sensor broke and mine keeps beeping annoyingly whenever I'm reversing. I have no idea how to replace mine (Same like yours but Silver and AT rather MT)
Patrick, nice review. Do you have an update or can you do a review of the 2012 Isuzu Dmax? Can you confirm why Isuzu Philippines did not have the 2012 models just like the Thailand 2012 Dmax version which looks great. 2012 Dmax version of Philippines is just a carry over of the 2011 model. Why? I wish and hope you can have a review of either 2012 or 2011 Dmax. It will be very helpful...Thank you in advance. Hurray!

The thing that puts me off slightly with most of these 3 litre diesels is that they have too much cold air intake noise when reving. I prefer pure diesel engine noise.
one reason i bought navara over dmax is the engine sound. isuzu engines are noisy comprd to navaras engine and besides navara has a higher horse power and torque over dmax

Iv driven a isuzu highlander. Lol its a tank. So durable and the diesel clutter was music to my ears
