both are very talented and i love both of their sounds. i think they've both leaned on each other for support. and one wouldn't be where they were without the other. The writers don't mind getting rich off of selling rights to their songs to super stars. Most people know this but some of the younger music lovers obviously don't. If you hear a song you like find out who wrote it and search for more of their songs. It's a great way to discover lesser known, but talented artist.

Needless to say that he's being really nice in the video, but you can tell he's a bit upset about the whole situation. My kinda party was on his first cd and Jason's producer gave Brantley's cd to him and that's where he got the first two songs he's recorded. And some of these songs weren't registered at the time so the same rules aren't in play.

im sorry to hear that..but time will heal all pain.. i was in love had it all good job fiancee a pregnant one at that.. and one day it all went wrong... she has a miscarriage..it devastated us she broke it off moved away and that hurt like hell we lived together in love with eachother for almost 2years that is a pain you never forget..but time heals all pain...i slowly got over her and found a girl who loves me just as much if not more than she did..ill never forget her or our potential kid tho

Wow dude..don't know where you got the idea that Gilbert wrote so many of Jason Aldeans songs, but you should really go back and double check that. AND on that same subject, you need to go look for the video of Brantley talkin about how he has no hard feelings about Jason cuttin a couple of songs. It's sad that he has to make a freakin TH-cam video to actually defend people makin cuts, but it's cause so many people jump on Aldean for the songs. Look it up man.
both are very talented and i love both of their sounds. i think they've both leaned on each other for support. and one wouldn't be where they were without the other. Jason Aldean used the songs and they helped shoot him up the ladder. But Brantley Gilbert has earned a lot of recognition because Jason sings his songs. Tired of the debate of whose better. You can't compare them, they have different sounds.
There is no debate between Brantley and Jason. I have seen no poll on CMT or anywhere. I dont see videos of Brantley complaining that Jason is getting more credit for his work. All i see is people who have created an argument for the sole purpose to complain. Neither of them care so neither should you. To me its amazing that we can have different versions of great songs. I get that Brantley writes them but that doesnt change Jason has an amazing voice. Should he just not sing and let it waste.

Brantley writes great songs and he's a talented artist. George Strait is an icon in country music and he doesn't write his own stuff, but he knows how to pick great songs to sing. The writers don't mind getting rich off of selling rights to their songs to super stars. Most people know this but some of the younger music lovers obviously don't. If you hear a song you like find out who wrote it and search for more of their songs. It's a great way to discover lesser known, but talented artist.
The song hits home when you have been there. Made that drive from Athens to south GA many times. Saw a few brokehearted sunsets crossing Sinclair. If a GA boy sings it, mostly like I am going to enjoy the song. Being from Macon, I sure Jason Aldean knows where Brantley is coming from. My Kinda party is the only one I prefer JA on, but he flat butchered ride through the country. Colt nailed that one.
@11KurtM Brantley isn't making money off of the songs Aldean took. There's a vid on here actually where Brantley talks about the situation. Needless to say that he's being really nice in the video, but you can tell he's a bit upset about the whole situation. In the video, Brantley specifically says that he didn't sell out and he's not making money off of those songs. The only thing Brantley is getting is SOME recognition, although I've never heard Aldean mention that he didn't write those songs.

@raceneck2000 , i understand your opinion and im just givin mine, it might not be true but they way i feel Jason Aldean is only in it for the money...Dont get me wrong he has sang some great songs, some of my favorite, but him as a person i just dont like...ive seen him in concert and seen enough of him to kinda make me feel that way, you got great stand up young country artists like Luke Bryan and Brantley Gilbert, and so on, who you can tell are in it just to make great music n make fans happy
I just love how everybody hates on Jason Aldean....why do you people think he records his music?!?!?!? Jason Aldean is a fan of Brantley's music too!!! Besides it's not like he's stealing the stuff Brantley has to give him permission...I LOVE BRANTLEY too but he is an up and coming artist and he has to earn his way just like everybody else does....The upside is the struggle gives him more emotion to write the kick ass music we all love!!!

unfortantley, its very difficult to be strong at all three. for example presley never wrote one song, but he could sing, clapton cant write or sing, but hes a hell of a guitar player, burt bachahrack cant sing, above average pianist, overwhelming writer. any way brantley has probably spent more time writing and playing, jason more time singing. myself,little time spelling.
three catagories, writer, insrumentalist, vocalist, brantleys overwhelming ability to write, descent guitar player, very good singer, jason decent writer, below average guitar player, overwhelming ability to sing plus hes got big money production, which complaments both singer and musicans, with these three things going on writing, playing singing, which is a huge work load.
he doesn't sell his music. look up brantly gilbert and Jason aldean, he says he hasn't sold out, jason does a "cut" of his songs. and he even states he's glad jason was the one to cut them. he is helping Brantle get out there. @jkriley999 No Jason and Brantley don't write together, colt ford and Brantley wrote Dirt road anthem Jason was not present when they wrote it. My kinda party was on his first cd and Jason's producer gave Brantley's cd to him and that's where he got the first two songs he's recorded. And some of these songs weren't registered at the time so the same rules aren't in play.

Aldean does nothing but butcher Brantley's songs. Every song that Brantley sings is so much better than Aldean. I hate that Aldean's versions go straight to the radio when Brantley has been singing them for years. If you listen to XM Radio, Channel 11 LOVES Brantley, Colt Ford and Sunny Ledfurd. They play them all the time.
Brantley is just started up yes its been for five years but all artist struggle to get up there, and jason aldean is just helping him out.. its not like he stole his music brantley gave him permission to do so.. so love the song cause it was created who cares who made it popular or not.. brantley made it and look what we get from him amazing songs... so just enjoy the music :)

@segamusic21 Um how bout you look it up? Brantley wrote My Kinda Party and Dirt Road Anthem and those were his songs BEFORE Jason's. Plus almost all of Jason's songs were written by someone else, not him. Not dissing him but this is technically Brantley's song, Just stating facts.
