What an incredibly neat invention! I first was thinking why ever would you have bought another sawmill, but I'm totally blown away now that I know you were its inventer. Looks like a great improvement over all the old stuff. I hope the orders will be flying
So that’s the top secret product development project - nice! Looks straightforward to use, nice choice of materials for weight and rigidity, and great looking results. I hope it’s a great commercial success for you.
Wow, that's an awesome tool you've designed there. It solves the tedious and time-consuming setup for DIY chainsaw mills. Now, if you can get it down to the right price point, I bet a lot of people will want one. I sure do.
I like how it feeds the top of the bar first and spits all the shavings out the front instead of packing it into the clutch cover. Brilliant as always Donn, thanks for sharing!
Whooot, I remember the video where you melted aluminium and turned it into a pulley. I never thought you would blown my mind again like that. Keep on rocking in the free world!!
🤩 wow Donn, this looks great! I would go right ahead and order one if I had at least a bit of a decent yard / small wood, but unfortunately I am a city dweller. ...after checking out your website - also the price is really great 😍😍
I was not dissapointed when waiting for your reveal! This is exactly what I have been looking for, the other brands available is not this easy as this looks, I have been testing the logosol one for a while now that I borrowed from a neighbor, but I am not satisfied in how simple it should be to use This one though, ticks all those boxes for me that I have been missing, so I have preordered now!
Good job Don! It should be a good seller! I think a drill attachment on the crank handle would be popular, like just a piece that sticks up that you can just attach a drill to.
I'll test one out for you in the USA. I got a nice elm tree that I fell last year. I've milled up one limb and the wood is beautiful. I have a ton left to mill up. Don't have any portable saw mill people near me.
Hi Don, great invention. Hope you are sucessful in selling this product. I very much enjoy watching your videos, great ideas, great craftmanship. Greetings from Germany
Well done. It can go into places my sawmill cannot and you don't have to drag the logs very far either. It should do well if you can keep up with production.
this is a great DIY project. If you are serious about sawmills, you should look up woodmizer. You will get more boards if you use the right tools. I can't imagine how rough it must be trying to build something with both wet and frozen boards.
I've built and used a bandsaw mill: th-cam.com/video/iCeTMkijoR8/w-d-xo.html I've built and currently use a swingblade: th-cam.com/video/EAx2qLk5yeQ/w-d-xo.html ClampMill has its niche. While it is limited in its capabilities in some areas it has its purpose in bush and remote sawmilling for building cabins in the woods or just for home owners, hobby woodworkers and such who want to use their existing chainsaw for milling lumber.
This is definitely better than by hand. But it is flexing quite a bit. How about the alu profile resting on top of the trunk (would require a redesign of the saw guiding) but then out just cut place the profile on top tif the next cut again.
There seems to be a bit of torsional flex in that aluminium profile. Could be an issue in longer lengths. Maybe a round struture like a pipe integrated somewhere would help with this? Perhaps along the middle where the strap goes through?
Hi, the most I've cut myself is Ash and as we know, Ash is super hard wood. And the mill works great! When it comes to chainsaw milling the main factor that influences the milling experience is the sharpness of the chain and overall chain+chain guide maintenance.
You don't have to unclamp the saw between the cuts. It was just my preference at that time. This mill is meant to have the saw attached to it until all the log is cut to boards.
❤You should try to grind the saw chain in 15 degrees it cuts nicely lengthwise and cross cuts as well we have used 15 degrees for over 20 years even now on our full skip saw chains with good results 👍
That's a great idea, I was thinking about that myself at some point after watching a comparison video between 0, 10 & 30 degree chains. And wanted something inbetween.
Hi Donn, neat invention, well done. Just a thing, maybe put the max log size possible and max bar length possible on your product page. I wish you the best, I think the product is well priced and could benefit a lot. Cheers
Very nice design. My only suggestion would be to set the log on some sawhorses/stand to get it to a comfortable standing height. Save bending over the whole time cutting. Edit: Ad soon as I posted this I see pictures on the website with it setup on saw horses lol. Never mind carry on 👍
Refined design to the bare essentials . Excellent!! QUESTION: Does straightness of cut depend on optimal sharpening to keep the cut parallel? Not everyone can hand sharpen consistently; for various reasons.
The guide bar and chain definitely have to be well maintained. If not that much for cross cutting then for ripping/milling for sure. It is super important.
Please use protective gear like pants and boots. I have worked with Jonsereds gear as low as -25 degrees C and they keep you warm. Ofcourse I use a Jonsered 520 chainsaw.

Yes! Thank you!
I like the design cutting with the top of the bar as it will optimize the bar oiling capability of the saw.
thats genius, simple and lightweight. thumbs up for you
Donn, as always, you are on top, your devices are unique and make the work easier, Well done, golden hands and a bright head with many ideas.
I've mulled over a chainsaw mill for some light work for a while, and this is definitely a very clever and slick implementation. Nicely done.
Fantastic piece of kit ,not having to push the chain saw, makes it so much more stable.
The built in winch makes the throttle control and saw advancement in the wood precise.
Wow, that's an awesome tool you've designed there. It solves the tedious and time-consuming setup for DIY chainsaw mills. Now, if you can get it down to the right price point, I bet a lot of people will want one. I sure do.
Awesome Kit! Wish I had the need for one to play with LOL. Many thanks from UK.
Excellent idea/design-well done. Just a thought here: mount a lithium drill battery and wiper motor to drive the gear [both of which are small].
Донн ты как всегда на высоте, твои приспособления уникальны и хорошо облегчают работу, Молодец, золотые руки и светлая голова с множеством идей.
I like how it feeds the top of the bar first and spits all the shavings out the front instead of packing it into the clutch cover. Brilliant as always Donn, thanks for sharing!
Awesome simple sawmill Donn 👍 Really refined and thought out design.
Thanks, Mike!
Complimenti! In un campo così difficile per le novità hai trovato uno spazio alla tua creatività, ciò che hai fatto è semplice e funzionale!
Pretty slick Donn! I hope you sell many of those.
Wow! Awesome, a light weight and portable solution. Nicely done!
Whooot, I remember the video where you melted aluminium and turned it into a pulley. I never thought you would blown my mind again like that. Keep on rocking in the free world!!
Brilliant, Don ! I guessed there was a damn good reason for your absence. And there it is, a DAMN GOOD reason = ) All best for 2025
That is awsome!! I could totally use one of those!
been mechanical designer for 30+ years, thats nice !! well done
Thank you!
Briliant idea, congratulations!
Hope it keeps the chain nice and cool while cutting the log in winter weather
Awesome! I know this will fly!
Fantastic CLAMPMILL Donn, slick as a wet whistle. Thanks for sharing with us, Fred.
Hey that’s a very awesome saw mill you’ve created there! I like that it’s quick and easy to set up and use! I hope many people buy that from you!
Wow that is freaking amazing.
That's an improvement!
Donn, du bist der Hammer mit deiner Erfindung ! Gruss Markus
🤩 wow Donn, this looks great! I would go right ahead and order one if I had at least a bit of a decent yard / small wood, but unfortunately I am a city dweller.
...after checking out your website - also the price is really great 😍😍
This is so neat. Really tidy. Love it
Beautiful
Nice set up, I like the self length adjustment with the ratchet strap. Send me one for some testing in Alaska 👍
That’s a great bit of design. Hope you sell many of them!
Quality Idea and Design.
peace
This is a great idea, I think that if you could somehow use the saws rotating power to propel the blade forward it would be better
Great invention
Brilliant idea, all the best for your business venture
Innovation at its best, you're a genius!!!! Don't forget about the fat tire minibike frame, you should produce and sell a kit. 😄
That is a very cool idea, might be a early birthday present to me :D
Great idea! I use a simple Alaskan mill with a 2 X 6 for first cut, but this is far better and easier. Thanks for the vids! 👌
Nice product ,easy mount chainsaw , simply depth cut , awesome 😊
Very smooth , easy to use hopefully you you have great success.
I was not dissapointed when waiting for your reveal!

Very nice 👌🏻 Donny. You ate a man of innovation.
Geez, im glad I live in🌞 Florida 😊
Thanks, I definitely me looking at the using one of those. I don't have to worry about the chainsaw all I use is Stihl. I have 3😊
And then he made a very light weight dc powered motor to do all the cranking while he drinks coffee and watches it work. Nice tool.
Very impressed!! Great job!
Hi Don, great invention. Hope you are sucessful in selling this product. I very much enjoy watching your videos, great ideas, great craftmanship. Greetings from Germany
Thank you very much.
Excellent work! Hope you will get to your goal!
Way cool Donn!

As soon as I saw "not clickbait" I couldn't click fast enough! 😂😂😂
Very impressive 👌
Fantastic invention 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That is fantastic!
Pretty darn cool!

Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
The tension trap doubles as the drive belt. Now that’s efficient
Yes!
There seems to be a bit of torsional flex in that aluminium profile. Could be an issue in longer lengths. Maybe a round struture like a pipe integrated somewhere would help with this? Perhaps along the middle where the strap goes through?
Looks a fantastic idea! Would be good to see how it works in some hard timber rather then soft easy to cut stuff!
Hi, the most I've cut myself is Ash and as we know, Ash is super hard wood. And the mill works great! When it comes to chainsaw milling the main factor that influences the milling experience is the sharpness of the chain and overall chain+chain guide maintenance.
Super comme d'habitude !!
That looks handy! 🙂
Looks like a winner to me. ❤️👍✌️😎
Looks like a great idea 😊
If I may make a suggestion - if I were using it I, I would like to make a few cuts before I had to unclamp and reclamp it
You don't have to unclamp the saw between the cuts. It was just my preference at that time. This mill is meant to have the saw attached to it until all the log is cut to boards.
nice bild donny !
autofeed would be useful and a modification that you don't have to reset it every time after every sawcut.
cheers
ben
Very cool. I like it. 👍😎
Very very good
Äge tööriist, edu sulle!

Great to see innovations in sawmill technology💪. It was about time. I have to get one for my mountain hut, do you deliver to Switzerland?
Yes we do!
Genius! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Мне понравилась задумка и исполнение, Адвокату бы такую-весь лес перепилил бы.
Very cool!

Edu äris! PIkkema seeria jaoks võiks kasutada 45x90S profiili
I simply attach a boat trailer winch to a slide on my guide board and the cable to the opposite end of the log.
Nice

Please use protective gear like pants and boots. I have worked with Jonsereds gear as low as -25 degrees C and they keep you warm. Ofcourse I use a Jonsered 520 chainsaw.
You can add a 90deg guide to cut square plank. like a 4x4 in US.
Yes, that's what we did with our older version of this prototype, and it works great. You can easily cut dimensional lumber with it.
Excellent piece of work!!! Are you going to sell the complete rig or plans for it?
Hi, we are selling the complete sawmill. We're currently taking pre-orders and start shipping in April 2025, see more at: www.naturetools.com
That's pretty slick Donn. How's your consistency on the thickness? It's hard to tell from the video but it looked pretty good.
It is consistent throughout the board thickness. The key thing is the sharpness of the chain and the health of the chain guide bar.
thats genius!!
Nifty.
