Dick Winters is by far one of the most famous and recognizable veterans of the second World War due to the countless books featuring his name and of course the Band of Brothers mini series. As with all films though, there were some changes made to the original veteran's stories as well as there were some "creative licenses" taken with some of the weapons, props, and costumes.
Today on Stand in the Door 1944 we will be discussing the uniform Dick Winters really wore on D-Day and how it differed from the costume worn by Damien Lewis in the Band of Brothers miniseries.
