The protests were organized in response to the alleged killing of Khalistan Tiger Force chief, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was reportedly shot dead in Surrey, Canada, on June 19. India has raised concerns over threats to its diplomats, with posters circulating in Canada.

Hey guys I’m born India Sikh. My family’s moved to Canada in 2001 and became a citizen at age of 13. I grew up in surrey I didn’t know what Khalistan was until the age of 17. My family never talked about Khalistan and 1984 I learned after watching a video. At the end of day both sides have there own story. But it was not decision not to be a part of Khalistan movement. I went to my parents asked about Khalistan. They said don’t worry about that it’s not for us. I’m not sure why Khalistan thinks they talk for the rest of us. If you want to make a movement go to India. Let us be at peace. I support the braveness and sikhs. We were made to fight for people’s right but killing innocent civilians is cowardly and no guru god would support you. It’s sad to see us fight with the country my grandfather taught in military for. To my Indian brothers and sisters jai hind.

@@zen2068 I’m not going to sugar coat anything. If you have a useful skill. You may potentially have success in Canada. If you weigh in all the pros and cons you can make a judgement. Let’s say you were a doctor in India and move to Canada. You first have to write an exam and then get experience which is voluntary. So no pay. It would take up to additional 2 years to become a licensed practitioner in Canada. In Canada India schooling is not recognized. You would have to find a job to keep yourself afloat. British Columbia and Ontario the most expensive provinces to live in taxes are through the roof. At the end of day if you ask me it’s a more stressful way to live. I went to school opened a business I’m doing good. But the next person might not be in same situation as me. People are migrate to Canada then regret it. It’s your decision way your options. If your not making more then 150000k. Life would be hard.

As a Sikh myself, I can definitely agree that these kha*****nis are not Sikh. All the Gurujis always taught never said anything or taught anything against Bharat/India nor Hindus. Yes there were certain aspects that Gurujis disagreed with in Hinduism like the caste system (which many hindus themselves disagree with today) but they always saw Sanatana Dharma as a part of their own identity.
