fascinating. We have about 70 artists in our little gallery. Most of them I would classify as "closet artists" they sell a few pieces to family and friends.. than their work starts to pile up in their Closet. In part because of this syndrome.. Some of them are very skilled, but self doubt, fear of rejection, or something as a simple dislike of Marketing ( and all the exposure that is associated with it) keeps their wonderful work piled in a closet. Great video. thanks for the share. I also run into a few folks who have marginal skills but unlimited self esteem... and that can get them along way, or let them survive and not quit until their skill catches up with their self image.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate your input and perspective. Maybe you should share with those people in the group. Closet artist is a good way of putting it.
You're right. No one knows what's happening inside... Everyone sees your genius in your work but they don't understand that because you feel you have a lot to learn all the time. Even if you're a master in what you do. 🤗
@BigRagufromAT I keep trying to talk my wife into taking your class. We went and took a class Rick Boni for our 10 year anniversary. I want to take your class for our 15-year anniversary trip. I'm not sure I'll be able to make that happen, tho. I just love the art of chainsaw carving.
@@BigRagufromAT Isn't this a real unnecessary pain and a waste of the time of our only life! For the time we have left (hopefully still a lot), let's accept the "pats on the back" because yes, we deserve it and no matter the violent criticism towards ourselves, we must not reject these feelings of self-realization and pure satisfaction that because it belongs to us after all!!!
nah i know im an imposter, haha its not a syndrome :D. just kidding im pretty much always ripping on my own stuff, i have a few carvings i like, and i tend to keep those around, the rest is like "im glad you like it". love your vids
@@BigRagufromAT my pleasure, you are a good teacher,, i watched tho whole thing without skipping, even though the audio was out of sync at some point wich can be hard to watch ;). i know why this happens, ive had this before myself when i edited using different video sources. its because the fps may not be the same and that messes witch the audio at times, there are tools to correct it before editing, so u make sure all the video has the same framerate.before starting to cut and paste it all together. i can look up the tutorial for u if u like, this kinda stuff always made editing videos very frustrating to me. pretty sure the tool i used was freeware as well. anyway, have a good day :)
Hello, thanks for commenting. What you were seeing and confused about is I use random shop videos as B role the audio on those B role parts is turned off and then I voice over the entire video separately. I use my cell phone for video to video so the only way to mess with audio is in the editing software, other than that they are one .
@@BigRagufromAT ahh right, i just thought it went out of sync. it looked like that alot. i have had this when i used gopro footage necauzse it recorded on like 29.6fps where my other source was probably like 30fps. by the time it becomes clear u have already put in a lot of time. but makes sense now! forget i mentioned it :D
Every time my band played live shows.
I get it.

Thanks for watching. Self sabotage is no joke. I'm crippled with it and always have been. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
@@BigRagufromAT You're outstanding in talent and spirit. I knew that from the first moment. You should start listening to that when people say it. 🤗
Thank you kindly! Thanks for watching!
Please come to the chainsaw rendezvous in ridgeway,Pa next week. I'd love to meet you there!
Thanks for watching. I won't be going to the Rendezvous. I have back to back students.

I have a Borderline personality where the traits of imposter syndrome are present... Self sabotage is very real indeed!
Thanks for watching.
