    Just got this laptop and I'm loving it! A laptop that can game without the gamery look, amazing screen and decent battery life. The fan noise is definitely annoying but you just get used to it. Good Laptop for the price

      How about the oled screen did you experience burn in?

    It's dirt cheap in Australia, 16GB model for $1400 AUD which is around $920 USD. admittedly that model only has 3050 with 4GB VRAM but still well worth the price especially since it's the only laptop for that price with a display that good, 2.8K OLED 120hz.

    Great review, really appreciated you going into detail into the gaming performance. Thinking about getting this laptop but with an AMD CPU for better battery performance.

    If there is a Acer Swift X model, let's say a R7 6800H (or R7 7735H) + RTX4050 with the last gen 60hz LCD screen that retails around 1000 USD (or slightly more). It would be an instant buy!

    You should review Vivobook Pro 16 i5 13500h 4050 65w. It has lower CPU but a little bit more wattage in GPU than this.
    It will be nice to see the comparison.

    This is a very good laptop, I was impressed with the performance but the right usb got loosey after some months. Also lack of ports and sd card trader is a lil disappointment. But it has a great value u can get one used for 500-600usd

    I think it's regular ddr5 soldered since it's standard speeds. I had a thinkpad before with 3200mhz ddr4 soldered as well and it wasn't lpddr4 which has better power characteristics. Just for your information

    I can't stand fan noise. I believe it might have even contributed to my tinnitus. Could you recommend a quiet Windows laptop? Or do you think a MacBook with Parallels would be a better choice? Thanks for your help!

    I just don't understand why laptop must have port on the sides. Ports such as power, ethenet, USBC, and most permanent plugged in should be in the rear. Sides should only be for 3.5mm audio, SD card reader, another USBC with PD, exhaust grille. Also why the need for trackpad (should be removed to knock off the price) when better bluetooth mouse such as logitech G series mouse can be more efficient. Lastly, there should be a sliding privacy cover for all selfie camera as across the board standard for laptop & phones . This would be ideally suited for me.

    I know it's unrelated. But the Asus Tuf A17 and F17 are advertised to come with I think 240hz, 100% DCI-p3 screen options by ASUS themselves on TH-cam and their own site, but I can't find them for sale anywhere, and nobody has talked about it? Do they actually make them?

    Pretty great laptop, shame that the fans aren't tweaked. Price tag is high, but seems like the only kind of its class, its feature set is that of a windows alternative to macbook. The display and port selection are killer features. Great review!!!

    Nice review, but unfortunately one important thing is missing. When talking about the noise of the laptop, it would have been very good, to show it to the audience. Simply record the noise and showed it to us. Without, it is hard to imagine, how it sounds

    • @Hubwood
      @Hubwood  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Noted! I now have a Dezibel measurement device. Recording the noise is a bit hard since it depends on much on the microphone, and the speakers or headset and the volume of the viewer.

    According to the review of a famous Chinese channel, this laptop's temperature of keyboard is way too high when gaming, even the WASD part could be more than 45 degrees. I hope ACER could design a new model with a better cooling system with two fans next year.

    • @Hubwood
