Without a doubt THE most intense and memorable moment from Dukes of Hazzard. And the music that plays during the fight makes it even more intense! If each soundtrack had an official name, I'd call that one "Bo vs. Luke"
@Wayne MacFarland Rest assured, he wasn't about to let it get out of hand. He was a patriarch who DEMANDED order from his family (I would too, God willing, if I were a father or the guardian raising my nephews and nieces, which was the case with Jesse)!
Luke was a marine AND he nearly killed a man in a bar fight at the Boar's nest. Hit him so hard it sounded like a gunshot - the guy fell and crashed through a table, breaking it. Luke also isn't afraid to fight dirty - he wouldn't think twice about letting Bo have it with a wrench or tire iron. Finally, he's done time before - there is an earlier episode where Roscoe puts him in jail on a bogus charge. In prison, you don't have nice little fights - in prison you fight for your life. Safe to say, Luke would mop the floor with Bo's curly hair. Bo knows it too - you could see the fear in his eyes. He knew Luke had a screw loose and was a very sick, dangerous individual. He's lucky Uncle Jesse stepped in when he did..
If I were Daisy I would have tried to position myself in front of them before bo throw the first punch, because no matter how mad they were at each other they would have to stop trying to fight each other to avoid hurting daisy.
Oh I'm sure she was in between them more than once. Her bedroom was right next to theirs. And no doubt that was happening all the time after uncle Jesse went to bed.
I hate so much the fact that Bo is full of himself, and I know he is always a dumb blonde, but when he started crying I was like "OMG WHY IS HIM SO CUTE" Duhh😩
Best dukes of hazzard episode ,it was aired as a Friday night cbs movie back then summer 1980 they actually aired a Chips 2 hour episode that same day same hour , it was no competition ,I saw my duke boys till the end 👍👍👍
It hurts to watch the duke boys fight when they weren't staging it to get rosco for something but i'm glad they made up in the end and bo made the jump
One of my top favorite episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard and my top favorite scene in Carnival of Thrills. After watching them fight bad guys (outsiders from Hazzard), it was interesting to see Bo and Luke fighting each other. It made for a great story.
Matt Beeman He’s 30-31 in this season. Considering they mentioned he joined the Marine Corps right out of high school, he would’ve been in some of the biggest offensives at the end of Vietnam at ages 18-22. The timeline adds up.
No family shouldn't fight love comes first and I know that Luke loves his cousin Bo very much and he doesn't want to see him get hurt into that dangerous stunt he's about to make that 32 car jump I didn't like it either but Bo had to learn a lesson that pride makes you do hateful things which costs family break ups, your life to be put on the death row or jail time so yeah I feel where Luke was coming from he doesn't want Bo to get hurt even if it means for Luke to get a bloody nose because Bo is flesh and blood they're cousins more like brothers as the song said (blood brothers) families should always ❤️ one another and not against each other.
Bo a better driver then Luke, and Luke is a better fighter than Bo. so my guess of who won nobody did because Bo still went and Luke couldn't stop him.
Reminds me of when my brother try to beat up me....He was 19. I was 15. He was the Goldden boy of the family, played sports in high school. I was a runt. He was drunk come to the house started to fight everyone my parents my other brother who was 17. he hit him then He took a swing at me, I ducked and saw out of the corner of my eye a can of raid bug spray. I grabbed it. sprayed him in his eyes. He rolled around on the floor crying parents tried to get on to me, told my dad that I done what you taught me. I grabbed something to equal the odds sense I was smaller, I had to stand up to my parents that day. they had to make a choice between him or me ,if he comes around I will not be around.. He never did for a while be years when we did not see him. We only spoke one time after that about 15 years ago when my mother died, He threaten to kill me. came after me but I have taken some martial arts over the years, blocked a punch flipped him into a wall, His friend did come after me, my other brother then pulled a gun on them both. had 5 people who said he threaten to kill me, had a restraining order. .have not spoke to him again. we are from a small town he lives about 10 miles from me, at 65 he is still a drunk, child molester, have no use for him My fighting days are over, Now have Parkinson, but I do have a carrying permit, and have a weapon,
Remember part 1 when the General was about to be crushed. Beginning when Roscoe impounded it for a broken tail-light he broke, which Luke saw yet overlooked it. Because he didn't want Bo making a fool of himself, even if it meant sacrificing the General.
was Bo and Luke fighting I have yet to make it past daisy yet. yall know whe gn i was a little boy daisy and I were to be married. I'm not bragging or nothing but yea.
Too bad Jerry Springer wasn't playing that time to have the bell ring and the Dukes were fighting. Bo vs. Luke Duke, wow! It's a pity with this PC BS that Dukes aren't back on the air as they should. Of course it's OK to play the jolly green monster the INcredible Hulk or the violent cop show in TJ Hooker, but not OK to play the Dukes.
At 42 seconds into the video when they are standing up throwing punces and luke duck and doges bos punch bo misses him and breaks a piece of wood in the barn you can hear a dog barking in the background off in the distance the dukes didn't have a dog so i wonder if it was a cast or crew members dog barking or camera mans dog barking the dog senses or senced something bad was happening or thought something bad was happening so it started barking
Luke held himself back! He would have killed his Cousin. Luke was a trained fighter and killer being an ex marine and boxer. That’s why when Luke would beat up somebody it looked extremely brutal. Like the one dude he punched in the boars nest in one episode, he hit him so hard it was like a shot gun went off and the dude went flying half way across the bar crashing through a table. The acting in this episode as legit masterclass. Especially from Denver Pyle. He was speaking from the heart. Such a great method actor he was.

+patty Stack Doubt it. Wouldn't be the same without Boss Hogg, Roscoe, Lulu, Uncle Jesse, Mrs. Tizdale, & Waylon Jennings no longer here. A reunion at this point N time would be a laughing stock. And the remaining cast & its fan base deserve better for a show that was. Myself, I thought it was a joke to have Burt Reynolds play Boss Hogg & Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse the last time they tried this. Not taking away from the talents of Burt & Willie, but a Boss Hogg & Uncle Jesse their NOT! Sometimes its just better to let it go, & I reckon this is one of em.
***** I wasn't referring to a reunion movie. Besides, I have that. I was referring to trying to revamp the series, cos make no mistake about it, Bo, Luke, Daisy, Boss Hogg, Lulu, Uncle Jesse, Rosco, Flash, Enos, Cooter, the General Lee & Waylon ARE The Dukes Of Hazzard. There's no question about that. Anything else if it were to happen again, would BOMB. That's why its best to leave well enough alone. And its also why, the series will be left alone too, cos even THEY can see that.
***** Yea, they have blown that flag thing way yonder out of the realms of simple logic. First of all, none of us were even born during the civil war. So for people to bitch about something all these years AFTER something they weren't even alive to witness, is bullshit. 2nd, in the very first episode of The Dukes, they had African Americans in that episode. It didn't seem to bother them. I'm glad I have it on dvd. Now lets see them take THAT off the air. lol People need to stop living in the past, especially since they weren't even alive when it happened to begin with. Its just a flag people. Time to move on & get over it. I'd rather see that fly than I would that ugly ass looking gay flag that's flying. Besides, wars have been around ever since time began. Just read the bible & it'll even say as much, cos they were at war even back then. And yet, the bible abolish's being gay, but yet its still OK in today's society to fly what the good book abolish's but its NOT OK to fly a flag of war & history, much like what the American is. Yea, that makes allot of sense. Go figure.

Wayne Hoxit Bo was into a girl who only wanted him to do a stunt for her carnival that at the time would have killed him and Luke told Bo that but Bo was in love with her
Uncle Jesse always knew just what to say!😢😓 I always admired his principals and morals about family and loyalty.
This broke my heart as a kid growing up in Detroit. We loved this show. The whole hood wanted to be Bo, Luke and Daisy Duke.
Uncle jesse saying this is your home and you can always come back always makes me cry
I was around 10 when this aired. I remember being in shock when they fought, I think I cried.
I was 6 going on 7. lol Yeah it is a tearjerker of an episode.
It still bothers me to this day

Uncle Jesse is the Obi Wan Kenobi of Dukes of Hazzard
Yes, he does resemble a country version of Alec Guinness.
An older version of Obi-Wan
When Uncle Jesse gets his trusty shotgun out, you just know shit just got real!
@Wayne MacFarland Rest assured, he wasn't about to let it get out of hand. He was a patriarch who DEMANDED order from his family (I would too, God willing, if I were a father or the guardian raising my nephews and nieces, which was the case with Jesse)!
I'd say Bo handled himself pretty well considering that Luke is an ex Marine who knew his cousin's every move.
Luke threw bo all over the farm.
Luke won
Luke was a marine AND he nearly killed a man in a bar fight at the Boar's nest. Hit him so hard it sounded like a gunshot - the guy fell and crashed through a table, breaking it. Yeah, and Luke was also a boxer
He hold back its family.
RIP Uncle Jesse. We miss you.
I'm a huge fan of the dukes of Hazzard and general Lee

What a way to settle squabbles
It had the warner brothers cartoon gun sound when shot. 😆

I don’t think I ever saw Bo, Luke, or Daisy (or Coy and Vance) ever fire a gun, just Uncle Jesse.
If I were Daisy I would have tried to position myself in front of them before bo throw the first punch, because no matter how mad they were at each other they would have to stop trying to fight each other to avoid hurting daisy.
My Mom used to do the exact same thing, it always worked :'(

such a classic moment in this series. i remember this fondly from when i was a kid
I think I was in the second grade when they came out with this episode!
Luke was holding back. He would've cleaned Bo's clock easily if he was really mad. Deep down, I think the audience understood that.
Daniel Reid no bo is big younger and they we both beaten at the end
@@keithwells3705 Counter point: Luke was shown to be a fantastic boxer, and was in the Marines.
The both held back. But Luke had more to hold back cuz of his training. Bo fought him out of anger but still loves him.
Nah bo will kill him
Ur unlucky, cause we can always step outside.
I hate so much the fact that Bo is full of himself, and I know he is always a dumb blonde, but when he started crying I was like "OMG WHY IS HIM SO CUTE" Duhh😩

one of the most powerful scenes of the series!! it is so heartbreaking to watch them fight :(

my heart felt so much love for bo aka john...love you always
I always wondered why Luke didn't try to stop Bo from leaving, I mean he owns half of the General and I definitely wouldn't let it go if I was him
It hurts to watch the duke boys fight when they weren't staging it to get rosco for something but i'm glad they made up in the end and bo made the jump
Not to worry. Both apparently emerged entirely "G-rated" unscathed!
Hey no spoilers! lol
I think that “staged in front of Rosco” thing was all over a diary, which was Rosco’s.
Sometimes you just has to figure it out. That is what and how things are done. Uncle Jesse.
I miss the dukes of Hazzard but I've got a lot of them on DVD
"BOYS! *GUN FIRES* *GUN FIRES AGAIN* Alright. Now get up on your feet and stop acting like jackasses and apologize to each other."
Let the fight begin dukes of Hazzard classic
It's too bad the fight lasted only 70 seconds. I wonder how long the fight would've lasted had Uncle Jesse hadn't stopped it.
till someone got knocked out
Luke would have folded Bo
@@TheThomasmoon I think till they both was out of gas, exhaustion was setting in already
Had Jesse not interceded (and he had EVERY right to), it's possible one might have killed the other, unintentionally of course.
Untill cooter showed up and whooped em both 😂

Y'all recon that's the only time We EVER SEEN the GENERAL LEE slowly gingerly backing out..... Instead of wheel spinning out

One of my top favorite episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard and my top favorite scene in Carnival of Thrills. After watching them fight bad guys (outsiders from Hazzard), it was interesting to see Bo and Luke fighting each other. It made for a great story.
John said he and Tom loved doing fight scenes with one another.
They were good at it
They always did all their own fighting. Kinda gave it more of a realistic feel over having to actual stuntmen do it.
Has anyone noticed that when Luke shoves or pushes bo down
Tom has a good hold of John and "puts" him in the spot he needs to be in?
Best episode of the show..
Remember that Luke Is a Vietnam vet. a Marine boxing champ.
Exactly that's why I,m saying it was Luke who won the fight between him and bo
IMTHERAZORSEDGE HE WAS!!???! Holy crap I honestly never knew that!!
Yea knew that too luke was in Nam this was in like 80-81 made him little older
I don't know how old Luke was, but Tom Wopat is plenty old enough to have fought in Vietnam.

My favorite memorable quote from Luke "Cousin. You just started something you ain't half man enough to finish."
Uncle Jesse was a good man he kept those 2 in line
Bo did better In this fight than he did against Luke in the Dr. Jekyll episode lol
Bo takes the General Lee
When he left the farm w the general 😭 ik he came back but lord that tears your heart strings
Am I the only one who felt like they were gonna kill each other?
Kevin P your not the only one
Beth Murrell if he hadnt stopped them theyd still be dropping each other!
Kevin Pennell
When I seen it thought Jesse was gonna shoot them both
This is from my bad luck episode with Bo making out with a girl who's not me. Bo has always been the center of my sweet romantic fantasy world
There is nothing like a good ol' fashion fist fight! Hell yeah'!
Anyone else keep forgetting Bo and Luke are cousins? I keep thinking they're brothers
rafsolo they were so close
Cousins, yes... but raised as brothers. Also, and it's in another ep... they're blood brothers, if not actual brothers.
Just the good ole boys....
This is the best fight those 2 had.
Bo and the General Lee....
There never was, nor is, nor ever will be another....
In the end they both helped Diane get out of debt to Boss Hogg. As always,
Bo a better driver then Luke, and Luke is a better fighter than Bo.
so my guess of who won nobody did because Bo still went and Luke couldn't stop him.

Bo was winning. he would have beat Luke. if. Jessie hadn't broke it up
I wish they bring back in reurns one day hoping
Bo always threw the first punch
Jesse: Gets double-barrelled shotgun to break up fight.
Also Jesse: Fires both barrels into the air in the first three seconds.
Bo won't listen to everybody else.
while another man is telling him he loves him dearly, no less!
