Thanks Iv owned a Quintrex 500 for 17 years and was thinking about updating to a better boat, but I’ve struggled to find a boat to justify spending the money and upgrading. You have just reinforced my decision to keep my 500 Quintrex. Best boat I’ve ever owned and do a lot of fishing offshore in bass straight off Wilson Prom.

I bought March 2021 with 90 HP Mercury, at 4500 rpm it porpoises like crazy. Can't get below half trim and can't get past 27.5 knots at 4800rpm. Had to put on hydrofoil to stop it nose bouncing. Still at 3/4 trim 27.5 knots max
Check to see if the motor is mounted at the right height, the guy that did the job might have been on the bongs all night you never know mate.. a 4 blade prop might also help.

@@BrisbaneYamaha you don't need a non Yamaha dealer to agree, just convince Yamaha to fund the purchase of other engines and do it on your own. Yamaha can take it out of their marketing budget, it would be a great marketing exercise.

@@BrisbaneYamaha first I was told that you had a Quintrex fishabout 481 in display on the phone that very same morning, I drove all the way there to learn that you didn’t have any in display, then your sales guys share to be understaffed and too busy to help out and explaining about the other boats making fun of my basic questions, second dint accept my offer on the spot I was ready to buy, and wouldn’t want to negotiate the deal, but never mind I respect the way people do business, if I was told the true I wouldn’t have driven all the way to see the boat that didn’t have on display. Frustrating, just shared my thoughts as you made great informative videos.
The salesman remember you well Spent 45 minutes with you and did quote on 500 Fishabout which you said you’d buy if we reduced the price by 15% So we couldn’t have been that bad Sorry we don’t sell boat overpriced
@@BrisbaneYamaha $50K was my offer, and not 15%, but 12% as I had to wait until February. Paul wouldn’t come down a bit or negotiable at all, I left and bought from Sydney the same boat got delivered to me this afternoon. But I wasn’t complaining about the price, I was complained about the lack of patience, education, yes good sales rep are there to educate not just taking orders, towards an uninitiated like me, making silly questions. Bad on myself will have to go to RTA to register myself in the morning, but that’s ok . But knowing that you truly read and respond the comments, your TH-cam videos are espetacular! Perfect and the your vibe is great, I bought the QuintrexBoating because you really! Pity not having the same vibe in the shop, I guess humans are hard to deal with and at the end of the day, I believe you probably better with them than without them, and I probably not the easiest customer too!
