Ive had the phone for a week. I came from samsung s21fe. good phone. Pixel 6 Pro.. Nice also. This phone is great for most people. If you are just surfing the web, emails, texts, camera is pretty good. It is going to please most people. sites opens websites as fast as my 2 other phones and in some cases faster. It is worth the purchase. I dont use the pen much but it is very nice to have. Regular people will get a light weight phone that is pretty darn fast.. I don't think most will be disappointed. 1 year to android 15 is plenty imho. Updates these days are minimal. If you want great AI then go with Pixel or Samsung for sure at this point. I dont really care about AI features that much. Just a regular person wanting a lighter weight phone and not carrying a brick in my pocket all day..
Very good comment. Actually, the majority of Android users don't need flagship features. Midrange phones like this one is already good for most, maybe 90% of users.
Moto is giving its customers what other profiteering companies had taken away, essentials like external memory slot, headphone Jack, etc. Let's support Moto & Sony for their efforts maintaining our rights.
I’m still rocking a 2020 moto g stylus because it has everything I require of a phone and Motorola abandoned all the things since the 2020 model - until this 2024 stylus phone. My requirements are simple - I want a snapdragon processor, a stylus and a 3.5 mm headphone jack at a reasonable price and I’m glad that after 4 years Motorola has given that to me again and I can upgrade from my 2020 to this 2024 stylus phone!

Any leather period over time is terrible, it's going to show signs of wear and in this case, it can rip and eventually will flake and there's nothing you can do about it except put a case over it, which will just turn it into a bigger heavier brick. They should have used plastic or glass, not this, terrible idea.
To get good sound on the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 go to Dolby Atmos settings set it to custom settings and move every bar up to high and turn on surround sound effect

Motorola has always been my favorite android brand because of the Moto actions, peek display and useful features. Then battery life is very well optimized on Motorola phones. They are finally improving the build quality, display and slowly their cameras. I’d say easily the G stylus 5g 2024 is the best phone Motorola has made in years especially for $399.

Great! I just purchased the 256GB version on sale for $249.99. Can't wait to get it. I will update you with my experience later. Oh and I also got a 1TB microSD chip because it is expandable up to 2TB. Yay!! I got this phone and after a couple of days usage in my pouch, it must have snagged somehow on the camera bump area and there's a tiny tear there now. I put a case on it and now it's a big heavy brick. Terrible idea with the back, I would have been happier with a plastic or glass, but this in a few months everyone will complain about the dirtiness of it, it'll either rip and eventually it will start to flake over time. May return mine still.

I too did some tests on it. Specially the game stuff. A 14 minute BR match and a 45-minute call of duty mobile zombie match only consumed 7 % of battery. That's is actually pretty great I'd you compare it against a S24, iphone 15 pro or a Google Pixel phone.

I have had mine for 5 days. It is not a replacement for my Samsung S10, but it does have headphone jack & expandable memory which newer s24 don't. I do like the fast pbone, OK speakers, and BRIGHT SCREEN which worked today in the June Community Rose Garden (couldn't see a thing on s10). I might keep the Moto, but I have 4 more weeks to test it out. P.S. I did get a replacement battery in my S10 today.
No, BUT!!! I surprisingly haven't missed it. So here Moto sits by my bed dark, but it lights up with the time in BIG NUMBERS when I barely touch it - and then it & I go back to sleep. No squinting at the always on tiny numbers on my s10. I really do like this feature. Of course the screen "is always on" when it needs to be, like when I was taking video and when I was running my mt bike the mileage & mph etc stayed on.The BRIGHT SCREEN is incredible - especially when taking photos in bright light. BUT IT CANNOT REPLACE MY GALAXY S10.😢 Almost everything works/looks better, and is more integrated in my Samsung, so I had the Samsung 10's battery and factory seals replaced on Friday and my Galaxy is still my 1st choice for everyday carry.
I dropped my s10 and need a new phone before I completely lose my screen. I've got purple lines on my corners. I was hoping this would be a good replacement phone for it. Would cost me more to change the screen and digitizer than buy this for $200

They have Agatha been this was. I lay bought a photon 4g in 2012 from them and it had basically no updates and they locked the bootloader so I could not put custom firmware on it. It was a really good phone fire the time. I was really hoping they would have system updates on this one
I think it depends on one's personal preference why and what you need a MOTO mobile phone for; then you get what suits your need for a Moto G phone or a Think phone, cheers!!😄

I'd get the OnePlus 12R over this or the ThinkPhone. Motorola is the worst with updates. You'll get the latest Android version a year after it's been released.
The Motorola Thinkphone is better than the Stylus 2024 and they are both at $400 USD new. The only reason to get the Stylus phone is if you need a stylus. Between the Thinkphone and the OnePlus 12R, get the 12R. It's newer, longer software updates better processor. The price for the 12R is on sale $529 for the 16GB + 256GB model. If you can get a price reduction on the Thinkphone, it's definitely worth considering. Amazon has it in "like new condition" for $271 USD.
Would absolutely love to get this phone. Only thing holding me back is the price and the software support. You can literally buy a Samsung s22 ultra with 1 TB of memory for $75 more

@@AntonioMendez-rz7si haven't seen in number, but the motor g stylus 5g 2024 pixc are pretty dang good for the price of the phone, it does lack in lower light, but still better then others in the same price range but for me the s24 ultra I like the pics more, Samsung does like to make the colors look brighter(vivid) and the night shots are crazy good. But id go with what your preference is,
@@timetrax80 The glass is usually pretty hard. Just don't carry the phone with your keys. I never had any scratch problems, only cracking from dropping problems.
l had to return mine because the quality of youtube videos was horrible. I has trouble calibrating the screen colors to suit my licking. Not a fan of the lack of HDR video playback.
As good as this phone is, Motorola is causing their own phones to fail because they make great phones but they get left by the waist side way too quickly, and if they don't care as much for their products, to want to see them last for many years, knowing that Motorola has your back as a customer when it comes to supporting those devices, giving you the customer peace of mind, then why should the customers care? Apple certainly cares about their phones which still have great resale value.after a few years, after 1 year Motorola doesn't care about you afterwards you're on your own, that's sad.
The only issue I have with Motorola is the support life of their phones, it is way to short of a support lifespan , they are couple of reasons why folks love iPhones for example, not just the echo system and security but the support life of apple devices is very good, I'm still seeing people using iPhones 8, X and 12 which brings me to the next point, they are allot of people who still hold on to their phones 4-6 years after purchasing their devices Motorola and CMF. Even Google promising industry leading support for their devices, but Google doesn't seem to have a great reputation when it comes to keeping up with promises in the past, and so people are sceptical about those promises they made at the launch of the pixel 8, so people really care about the longevity of software support and most importantly security support.
If Motorola had copied Apple and Google's follow-up after sales with updates over a longer period of time, this phone seems to have been a perfect choice for many in the mass market. To only provide an update for three years indicates that you do not believe that your own product deserves a longer life.

Sd card slot is useless if you can't install apps on the sd card.

You have the option to have it mirror or not...in the camera settings but you would know that if you actually had the phone

I'd get the OnePlus 12R over this or the ThinkPhone. Motorola is the worst with updates. You'll get the latest Android version a year after it's been released.

The Motorola Thinkphone is better than the Stylus 2024 and they are both at $400 USD new. The only reason to get the Stylus phone is if you need a stylus.
Between the Thinkphone and the OnePlus 12R, get the 12R. It's newer, longer software updates better processor. The price for the 12R is on sale $529 for the 16GB + 256GB model.
If you can get a price reduction on the Thinkphone, it's definitely worth considering. Amazon has it in "like new condition" for $271 USD.

@@AntonioMendez-rz7si haven't seen in number, but the motor g stylus 5g 2024 pixc are pretty dang good for the price of the phone, it does lack in lower light, but still better then others in the same price range but for me the s24 ultra I like the pics more, Samsung does like to make the colors look brighter(vivid) and the night shots are crazy good. But id go with what your preference is,

@@timetrax80 The glass is usually pretty hard. Just don't carry the phone with your keys. I never had any scratch problems, only cracking from dropping problems.

As good as this phone is, Motorola is causing their own phones to fail because they make great phones but they get left by the waist side way too quickly, and if they don't care as much for their products, to want to see them last for many years, knowing that Motorola has your back as a customer when it comes to supporting those devices, giving you the customer peace of mind, then why should the customers care? Apple certainly cares about their phones which still have great resale value.after a few years, after 1 year Motorola doesn't care about you afterwards you're on your own, that's sad.
Should compare it to the S22 Ultra since you can get that for a little less than $400 used. Personally I'd rather have the used flagship.
The only issue I have with Motorola is the support life of their phones, it is way to short of a support lifespan , they are couple of reasons why folks love iPhones for example, not just the echo system and security but the support life of apple devices is very good, I'm still seeing people using iPhones 8, X and 12 which brings me to the next point, they are allot of people who still hold on to their phones 4-6 years after purchasing their devices Motorola and CMF. Even Google promising industry leading support for their devices, but Google doesn't seem to have a great reputation when it comes to keeping up with promises in the past, and so people are sceptical about those promises they made at the launch of the pixel 8, so people really care about the longevity of software support and most importantly security support.

If Motorola had copied Apple and Google's follow-up after sales with updates over a longer period of time, this phone seems to have been a perfect choice for many in the mass market. To only provide an update for three years indicates that you do not believe that your own product deserves a longer life.
