He was only 58, geez, didn't even make it into his 60s. Always sad when we lose an icon no matter who it is but it is reality & cancer can affect any of us. He like the other Beatles will live on thru his music & that will never be forgotten. I honestly do hope we have Paul & Ringo around for sometime yet as the Beatles were magic & talent like theirs only comes along once in a blue moon. George is now with John making heavenly music together.
Yet, the media was tough on Paul for his “meh” reaction to John’s death. But we all know it consumed him inside. I went through all Beatles stages, mad about Paul, always thankful to Ringo, cried for days after John left but when I was 17 in the early eighties , I got deep into the “George” state of mind, Maharishi and all. I lost 20 pounds in those 2 years, became vegetarian and all I wanted to was to hear Harrison’s music. I remember listening to all my beatles music to detect George’s voice in it, finding out his taxman’s voice in within/without you . I absolutely loved George, my sweet lord!

Very nice. Thank-you for posting. Some very personal feelings from Paul and Ringo and George's familiy. It's difficult when we all know how alienated George felt most of his time with the Beatles. I recently read Eric Idle's book, 'Always look on the Bright side of Life', which gives another aspect of George. Wonderful.
i can not imagine a life without listening to George and The Beatles. My God do i have a thousand things to thank this guy for! Not only was he a music genius, but also a man so full of love, grace, humility and humour. Deep Love! Deep respect!
Darling Ringo. He was so choked-up I could almost feel the size of the aching lump in his throat myself. I reckon that he and George would have identified very closely with each other, not being THE two celebrated song-writers of the fab- four must have made them feel almost like irrelevant ‘Also-rans’ at the time. Yet George was an extremely gifted composer in his own right who struggled to get his own work onto the albums.
Definitely the most talented musician of the bunch and my personal favorite songwriter. Heart of the band indeed never lost his head due to the success

Yes, George and son Dhabi looked very much alike... Follow the story he spoke of to a journalist. A man doing some work on his house told George, "Weren't you wearing different clothes about 10_seconds ago ?? George led him on, practical joker that he was. And then Dhabi comes downstairs after George left the room dressed differently, HA HA HA Turns out George and Dhabi were mirror reflections of each other. First time the worker ever saw Dhabi !!!! Funniest thing ever .!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😅😆
John said everything was crap during his bitter period. He didn’t like anything. Also on Maxwell, they all claimed they worked longer on that what anything ever. I believe later accounts proved that to be untrue. Much like the Let It Be sessions, I think memory and legend allowed them to believe what they thought they remembered… which may or may not have been accurate. Good video. Thank you.
Oh, that clarify is the reason why he chose to go to Los Angeles rather than stay home at Friar Park, his home in England. Los Angeles, Here Comes The Sun ......
@@OlskZeri-qm4ce I get that the whole “Paul is dead” theory is very interesting and compelling but come on man, commenting this under a commemorative video about someone who ACTUALLY left this world is simply childish and insensitive

George was my absolute favorite Beatle. He wasn't perfect, by any means, but he turned out ok. I know that George was trying to get back to his house in England and that his Drs told him that he was too unwell to travel, but I always thought that he passed away at Paul's house. Is Paul the friend being referred to here, or is it someone else?
@ yeah I guess it was proven to be a rumor. Paul McCartney had a house in LA and I heard on some video that he was actually there holding George’s hand when he died and they mentioned something about being in Paul’s house that he was renting.

I totally agree with George. I you are going to die in another day 10mins. What can you say you would miss? His son his mothering, his wife. Yes, but nowt else. Yes I agree. Miss what ? Nothink 🎸🎵🤔
When asked to say something in the first interview after George’s death, Paul had to be extra nice, since he totally botched it after John died, and was so rude with his comment. 🙄
You can’t expect someone to say all that needs to be said about someone passing that he loved and knew for years when the annoying press just ambushes you. Its pathetic to put that on Paul, he’s only human and just what he said on camera doesnt compare to what he was probably going through. If anything he kept it short so those annoying people could leave him alone
When John was shot down in cold blood it was beyond horrible for everyone whose lives he had touched for the better. Paul didn't want to parade his grief in front of the world. He wasn't ready for anything like that. People love to judge the rich and famous. I've even been known to do it myself. But when John died, Paul deserved to be cut a little slack. They were as good as brothers, or even better, and they were growing close again when John was taken so cruelly.
@@neilpemberton5523: What a ridiculous statement. 🙄 Why do people make excuses for Paul McCartney when he made a brain dead/heartless comment after his best friend was shot in cold blood?
