- Frank Pinello’s returns for another episode A Frank Experience, and this time he’s in Dallas at the historic State Fair of Texas. This 24-day festival of Texan culture sees over 2 million guests, and Frank learns what it takes to feed them.
Frank meets and works alongside some of the legendary and award-winning food creators at the Texas State Fair and tries preparing some of its beloved dishes, like Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, a funnel cake queso bacon burger, and Stiffler’s Mom’s cookies. Frank gets a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the enormous operations behind these small food stands and enjoys all the fun the State Fair offers.

Actually felt abit bad laughing at this but then realised I dont think the world needs 600,000 extra corn dogs a year. For any reason
I realize you were just joking, but the fair was modified to a drive through event, and was almost always sold out. We vacationed in Texas on what was said to be the worst week of COVID and had a great time at Six Flags, Seaworld, and the beach. Thankfully they handled things a lot better than my home state where more and more stores are going permanently out of business.

I believe they record it like this so they can color correct in post and keep a lot of detail, but they skipped the color correction.

I would watch Frank watch paint dry. I love that guy - he just exudes sincerity.
Honestly they're amazing corndogs, the batter is more like the texture of a hushpuppy batter. With covid19 bullshit going on they actually started making them out of a trailer in certain neighborhoods. I waited nearly 3 hours for 2 of them and a funnel cake. There really wasn't any shade and I got sunburned to like hell, but it was pretty great. Definitely worth it

Moved away from Dallas last year. I'll always remember the fair. I brag to everyone how TX has one of the best fairs of the US
Man Frank is the best host! Pretty awesome how much hard work those people put into just giving us food! We just walk up and grab a corn dog but they are kicking ass to give us what we want! Gotta respect that!

I worked at the state fair this year the smell from this food still haunts me to this day.
