I think it would also be cool to be able to capture Cooketail, basically after you defeat Bowser you can go back to that cooking world place(I forgot it's name)and beat Cooketail once again. Then after the fight she let's you capture her(unlike the last time)as a reward and fly around scaring the little friendly silverware. And once you scared all the silverware you could get a moon for Cooketail after you turn back to your normal form and she would disappear. I think that would be really fun.

Add a boo capture. It would look and behave like the boo powerup in galaxy 1 and 2, with the only change being normal speed, since in galaxy it was PAINFULLY slow. Also, it would probably look... good for a capture! Something about it feels so perfect...
Phew boy. Hottest take in town. I think the capture mechanic was awful and it has led me to owning mario Odyssey since release and having played it a handful of times. It bums me out hard this is what we got and I hope we never see it again.
I kinda agree with you but I think that the capture mechanic was an amazing idea but executed poorly. If instead of having many captures that can only do one thing and usually a thing that mario could do too, they would have only a handful of captures with really fleshed out controls so it would be more fun to play with them. Actually I find myself intetionally avoiding captures and trying to get moons without them because Mario us simply so much more fun to control and I get more satisfaction from doing it that way. I still love Mario Odussey because the captures aren't really needed but if they make another game I would prefer quality over quantity

I wanted to capture boos like in galaxy but they weren’t in the game. They could’ve made the ruined kingdom as some grim haunted castle with boos and other ghost species instead of just a boss ring But if I’d pick something that i would want to catch in odyssey, it’s the NPCs (other than in the metro kingdom). Imagine moons where an npc requests you to find his friend and then you need to either look very carefully around the kingdom and then find him, capture him and send him back to the other npc, OR, you could need to complete a mini platforming challenge, get him, then replay the challenge to get back to the other npc.
They should add a $10 dlc to odyssey You could play as Luigi and find out how he came up with balloon world and play as princess peach when she travels the world and you find the moons, or even Pauline,

you don't do anything directly to the boos in galaxy. you only kill them. you gain their abilities by getting a mushroom that looks like one of them
