- I paid $75 for this sports cards collection from the online auction platform HiBid.com. The reason I bought this lot of sports cards (nfl football cards, mlb baseball cards & nba basketball cards) was because I saw l saw some pretty nice modern sports cards on the listing. I kinda made a risky purchase here with not a lot of info to go on before making this sports card purchase…Let me know if you think it was worth the cost?!

Jamarcus Russell was the biggest waste of talent.
Most unaccomplished player in sports is hard to say. I think in basketball it was Adam Morrison that was drafted by the Bobcats. In football probably Colt McCoy or RGIII. In baseball I think there are so many, but I’m going to say Josh Hamilton.

Being a Longhorn fan I agree with you on Colt McCoy he was very talented but never seemed to be able to make the leap in the NFL.

Great question! My searches typically start broad and then go a little more narrow…I search: “cards”, “sports cards”, “sports card”, “rookie card”, “card collections”, “sports cards collections”, “binder(s)”, “lot of cards”, “lot of sports cards” and then finally I look at the categories
Congrats on the Rice RC score. I think Josh Hamilton, Daryl Strawberry, and Brien Taylor are just few MLB guys that never achieve their potential.

Man I’m rewatching this one and when u asked who sorta never made use of their talent in their pro sport (not counting injury related) I thought of a guy like Josh Shelby who was a super highly touted high school basketball player that ended up going to the University of Kansas but he got in his own way and never made it to the league. But I think the #1 obvious answer is JaMarcus Russell. The dude thought he didn’t need to work, study the playbook or train and that his arm talent would take him to the top and man was he wrong
