I’ll never forget that at his show I went to over the summer. NF played the interlude and hate myself right after. Everyone and NF had tears in their eyes, and it was so powerful. It was like everyone in the crowd was complete strangers, but had this crazy powerful connection. And that 3rd verse is one of my favorite verses of all time. NF is already a legend

I’m 53 y.o and have lived with mental illness similar to Nate since I was a child. That 3rd verse explains everything of what it’s like.gave me goosebumps and had my crying at same time. Never heard it put so succinctly in just a few verses. He is a genius and I wish I had 1/10 his ability to put his words out there like that. Has to be some sort of therapy for him..
At the end of the day I pray for all those suffering (especially so many of our young people😕) but if I could offer words from a lifetime of struggle is just hold on and take it minute by minute if needed. As long as there’s even a sliver of Hope hold on to that.. for me honestly it’s guilt what I’d do to loved ones that’s kept me alive til now as I’ve dealt with a friends suicide at a young age and saw what it did to his family and friends..utter destruction🥺. Maybe not the textbook way of never giving up but if it prevents the finality of it all so be it. Great job as usual guys.You both get “it” and that alone surely will help others get thru. Thank you both ❤️👍
I've seen a million NF reactions and I always wait for the 3rd verse "devil" part and nobody ever says anything. that part always gets to me, with the voice change, and always surprised nobody ever says anything about that..ya'll are the first ones to actually comment on that, it gives me chills.

Don't know about anyone else, but from the beginning of my NF Journey I got the strong feeling he felt, as the only male in his family it was up to him to support his family (sister's, dad and Grandparents). That's a lot of stress on such a young man. He could see for years what his Mom was doing to herself so he was just a kid.
I live in suicide and and NF really helps me deal. I can't promise that suicide is not something that won't happen. I do hate myself, with good reason I've been bedridden for fifteen years, and I've let my family down. When there is no hope and no one can help it keeps me praying a lot. NF is so special and doesn't deserve the hard times he's had. Let's all pray for him.
This was written about his breakdown between his Perception Album and Search. Thank God Brigid was there. She took him to this four day intensive inpatient Therapy. He's still in therapy and probably will be for a long time.
If you want to see him happy look up his Marriage video, then type in TH-cam search NF hiccups. It's really funny.
When he said "NF you need to relax" I could only think of the times when they said the same thing to me I think that is the reason why I identify so much with Nate's music depression and anxiety It is not easy to carry, it is a constant struggle to maintain a little stability
