Those are the little details that really sold me in '15. I got a comp that was fantastic, it felt like a 5.56 carbine was a .22lr. On my rifle length gas systems, it felt like shooting a very loud BB gun. I made some impressive shots at distance with your effective and very visually appealing comp and a decent piece of glass...and ya know, practice on each weapons system/trigger.
I have 2000 mini. In the garage It 3d's slow. At work I use a vf3 1998 vintage the movement with the same software is fast. Any ideas guys would be a great help...
So are ya saying that all controllers (2000 vintage mini mill) could run faster? I post the 3d path with fusion and it moves much better. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
And so how do ya change it. Do ya have to have Haas come in. And will my 2000 mini mill move like that . if i use smoothing in fusion it runs so much faster...
I believe you can just get a code and punch it in to your machine yourself. The fusion smoothing function certainly makes a huge difference. The speed without HSM was the only thing I can say is quite disappointing and this is on a modern 2017 VF-2SSYT machine. Adaptive tool paths were limited to 60 IPM which is abysmal compared to hobby grade controls I have used with the same fusion settings. I'm okay paying for more performance but I expected the base line to be higher. Fortunately its an easy upgrade, but very expensive now.
snowgoer540 The machine controller automatically slows itself down to avoid inaccuracies in the part. This option allows the control to better anticipate the movement of the machine to prevent inaccurate moves. Both of these programs are run with the same programmed feedrate.
Welcome to Haas life. They get ya with a decent machine for a decent price, but then all the little add ons and stupid items designed to fail to keep service up for the retailers really add up.
@@Foomanlol lol yeah I’m building a quote for the tm0p and checking at all the other options that you practically need and now the machine is worth double… btw is a wips a must have? I’ve been using edge finder to do most my work and never experienced using a wips but everyone is saying that it’s worth every penny?

Thanks for making the video comparison. Gonna have to suck it up and pay for it on my TM1 too. $2800 is BS.
ther1kid Yeah, it should really be standard. But, as obnoxious as it is, it does pay for itself in no time.
Why isn't HSM just a default in the controller? That speed of processing code should be the norm.
gredangeo I 100% agree.
It pisses me off every time I use it. spend $100K + on an SS machine and HSM is an option?
Who ever came up with that idea should be fired.
so they can charge you another 4k for nothing.

Using G187 values or no? Also gotta love that funny linking! I wind up defaulting to Straight Line for just about everything now if possible.
G187P3E.0004 I tried P1 E.005 and it came out terrible.
Oh I bet! I find the VF-6SS still gets pause-y when it's on P3 if the surface is at all complex so I usually delete the E value and put it in P2.
+atomkinder67 I'm thinking of now just taking the G187 back out and just leaving it on default.

NOT FOR 2800.00 I ONLY PAYED 10,000 FOR THE MACHINE. ILL STICK TO FUSION SMOOTHING WORKS OK
Maybe I'm being obtuse, but why can't you just program faster speeds and feeds?

What is this tool path???
What's your spindle a 4000rpm or 6000??
tony marucio 6000
Venom Defense nice did you order it with that or did you add it after??
tony marucio I bought it used. it was only 4000 rpm, but you can adjust the parameters to go 6000 and also faster rapids and tool changes as well.
Venom Defense thanks for the quick response could I shoot you an email? I have some questions about your mill as I am looking at buying a tm2 thanks.
IT,S A 6000
So i found out the price to turn on HSM is about 2600.00............ give me a break. REALLY NOT COOL AT ALL.
They actually increased it to $2800 :(

@@michaelgilmore2847 Now its $3300 :( :( :(
@@DavidP_ lol I know. I ended up buying it for 3300. Could have had it for 2400 when I got the machine. I'll never buy a machine without hsm.
