Hi Zahira! Warm hello from Malaysia🙂 I found you by chance and hv bn watching all your videos. I just wanna say a big THANK YOU for being so generous wt tips, design ideas & concepts.🙂 I hv always loved this concept from a long long time ago and i didnt know until you told me.Now i know it has a name : wabi sabi 😃. I see beauty in scars.I love seeing an elderly person's lined, aged face.I love bare trees in winter.I love visuals and aesthetics that says volumes without needing to do anything. It just be.I appreciate earthy tones as well artistic expression like ikebana.🙂
@@minaseyoseph Thank you for this! I still want to learn how to take your course, which I missed because I was not getting notices of your videos when you announced it.
Thank you!! You gave me a look at the wabisabi style I really like the feeling of being created from the wabisabi style. But if the materials used are too old, can it affect your health?
Omg’sh! THIS design trend, discouraging cemetery, perfection, refinement while encouraging only basics, raw messy materials and breaking traditional design rules, etc…added with realizing the recent design trend progressions towards this 2022 trend JUST HIT ME! I’m shocked to see/hear design trends are actually promoting specific political leanings… EYE OPENING to see design industry using design to subtlety politically influence, or politically support. Anyway, I’ve always appreciated nature & natural/raw aspects within design BUT the low seating & beds is NOT comfortable for the tall or 40-50’s yrs of age population and definitely not for seniors. No matter how appealing it may look, low to the floor is not practical or comfortable for too many. That said, as usual, WELL DONE VIDEO!
Nice video. However, talking about functionality and showing a table displaying vases that serve no functional purposes other than aesthetic ones is contradictory.
Interesting video, though totally not wabi sabi and out of context. Wabi Sabi is NOT about trends and thus the philosophy itself cannot be taken as a "trend in design" either. You can call it minimalistic trends but by far not Wabi Sabi. A misunderstanding of the concept of Wabi Sabi itself when someone puts out videos such as this one.
Great way of breaking down the differences. At first glance it’s hard to tell but now I get it. Thanks for always having such different and well thought out content!
Luv the style!!! But apartments with big natural light windows are $$$$!!! I am also a huge fan of low furniture. I was told by an interior designer not to try to duplicate it here because a lot of people are not capable of getting up out of low furniture! I could probably lift them back out, but i still think they might find that embarrassing...
I think this is also another minimalist style that fits with the Montessori or Waldorf ways of parenting using real raw materials and natural light. I love the feeling of real materials fabrics and using the textures that are found in nature without surgical textures and artificial colours. Maybe as a contrast to our childhood homes it still is a pleasant experience to have for everyone.
I love the recap or summary section really helps to remember or keep in mind the key take aways from the video as sometimes your photo selection is so gorgeous that one forgets what is being said & just start enjoying 😅
Thank you So much beautiful Designer Cury 🌿🌱💚💝🌻🌸🍀❤🌹💙💞💐🙏! Am still Decluttering on stuff we do not use, need any more ! I want a clutter free space ! Am renovating flooring from cemented floors to tiling and the design knowledge you share is helping me a lot ! Thanks for knowledge about lighting and allowing Natural light in a Room, I always open windows and allow natural light ❤❤❤🌷🌷🌷! Beautiful Designer Cury , I have to reintroduce earthy color tones in our home slowly , I will try !
The ideology of bringing the nature into your home is much appreciated. I just found out what interior design suits my inner self , a space where one can connect to its roots. Wabi Sabi design seems to be beaming with feeling relaxation and with a thought of anything in its authentic self is enough to portray loving the things in its raw form.
In the case, it's transition bridge to move from theory to practical, mountains look beautiful from distance, but we need to accept reality, their beauty is, they are aligned with nature 😮
Thank you fot all your videos they're all great. I love this style and definitely would like to have it in my home, but I would add a touch of color cause I can't live without colors. Colors are part of nature, flowers and trees are not beige and gray.
Your topics are always will thought through and executed. Thank you for your time to go these videos and sharing your knowledge with us :) I learned so more from you than at university

Blue Zones, where people routinely live active lives well into their 90's, often have this low type of furniture. Getting up from it is exercise.
Nice video.

How would you style something more vibrant and lively? Spaces with influences from India and Arabia for example

We have huge windows and letting light in, in our area leads to horrendous electric bills.
Great deals in materials. I made a sofa cover out of natural cotton painters drop cloth found at discount hardware store.
It's so expensive to look so poor when you decorate for a wabi sabi interior
Nice!
