At 4:25 you had the zoom mixed up, can't wait to see what your next video says as I just purchased the ZS7 as i already have the DMC 35 and really like Panasonic.
I can wait for a full review. I just got the Nikon S8100 and Im very happy with it. It shoots fast and great in low light conditions. I looked up the panasonic and didn't like very much. Maybe after the review will get one also.
@mtpflyers I don't know what your planning on doing with a camera at CES when you already have a videocamera, unless your going to make a blog post with pictures and descriptions I don't think a camera is necessary. I mean that is my point if view but I respect yours as well.
I actually on the ZS3, and I love it, and i've used the ZS7 and S8100 at work, (I work at Best Buy), I like them both very much, I personally feel that the S8100, takes a slightly better picture and has a quicker flash time.
@tomhum996 I'm not comparing them quality wise...I was talking about how expensive it is... Most people will not spend 1,000 on a camera.. I'll go into that more...
I have the Lumix ZS3 and it was and still is a good camera. I've used mine for a while. I just recently upgraded to the Panasonic Lumix GH2 DSLR which is in a completely different league. It's around $1,000 but it shoots video better than the 5Dmkii.
the only thing i didn't like about the nikon 8100 is where the flash is located. that's where i normally have my fingers to hold the camera. it wasn't comfortable holding the camera on just the side.
the reason why 1080p is a bit different is because usually the 1080p is shot in 24 fps while 720p is 50/60 fps. thats is how the canon rebel t2i is, so that is why that happens. just thought id let you know
@iColorado303 What are you talking about?? I have a dedicated video camera.. the one I use to shoot my videos.. My reasons for this are to take pics and not have to carry a DSLR
Mtpflyers: is the ZS7 good at HD video?? 720p. I am looking for a good compact camera with 720p that have stereo sound. And I need for my blog, because I am doing reviews. But also I am going to IFA 2011 in Germany (a small European version of CES) I hope you would take time to answer :)
@mtpflyers Personal preference of mine would be to go with the more widely known brand (Panasonic) but I'm intrigued to see what the Nikon has to offer ... Cheaper is ALWAYS a good thing :)
1 - 0 to the Panasonic,Being able to Charge a spare battery compared to the Nikon's USB Only Option,2-0 Panasonic has Leica Lens,2-1 Nikon has longer Battery life,3-1 Panasonic has Auto-Focus on video recording if needed,I know you have a HD camcorder, and can see the reason behind carrying this point and shoot,Being smaller and lighter to carry,I personally would be going for the panasonic due to the Spare battery's you can have on/with you and the Quality,Its the camera i want to get TBH (TZ10)
The S3 which I've owned for 10+ years, just found a SZ7 on e-bay for $132 in pretty good shape. These are both sweet cameras!!!
That nikon looks sweet! Can't wait for a more detailed video because you just opened my eyes to the nikon.

@iColorado303 I'll have plenty of video.. but pictures are good to take a long clear look at something...
@1980KNIGHTRIDER It's a darn good camera.. It's referred to as a superzoom camera....
Mike I own the Nikon no question you should go with that camera, it's great.

Check out the Canon Powershot SX210 IS. I think you should go for that. By far the best point and shoot i have ever seen.

@mtpflyers didnt you have a dslr or did u return that?
why dont you go with dslr?
@iColorado303 Most of the specs important to him are regarding still pictures, so you might think he wants to take more stills than video.
@swansythelegend07 I am on Meteor to but it wouldn't bother me changing to 02

Personally I just like Nikon's cameras. I have the Nikon D3100, but I haven't used Panasonic cameras that much.
so are you going to return one?

I'd go for the Nikon.
@911andman He can return the one he doesnt like. I think Best Buy does a 2 week policy.
why not get a dedicated video camera?
@swansythelegend07 Lucky you ... My advice would be to get it on 02 but hey maybe 02 isn't your cup of tea :)
