After listening to filler for the first minute I skipped ahead. Still lots of hot air. Then realized this is just a video full of stuff that could have been said in less than a minute.

There have been advances and improvements in knowledge, design, materials, development, automation, manufacturing, and the construction of truck engines, all of which combine to bring about efficiencies.
Legislation has been responsible for advances in certain areas, such as fuel consumption, economy and most significantly, exhaust emissions!
Every commercial truck owner and operator wants engines which are more efficient and less polluting than those that came before.

It's a shame, I would have liked a bit more detail and not just the general information. Torque and power curves compared, as well as consumption per 100km and length of the service interval.

The fuel economy is almost the same from 60 to now. They still 5 to 7 miles per gallon. From V8 to I6 direct injection is been there almost from the start of diesel.
